Currently I am assigned to cat 6, stateroom 6650.. but I have the opportunity to upgrade to a cat 5...cost isn't a factor really. Should go ahead and do it?

Both rooms have the metal verandah... is it worth it to be one deck higher??

Not worth it, in my opinion. I am the opposite of many people...I like to have my verandah as close to the water as I can get it. Aft is a super spot, and my favorite stateroom is 5650 on deck 5.

It depends on the individual. We like deck 6 so I would say no, but others may disagree. Being on deck 6, we are only one floor up from the kids club, and carrying a sleeping kid from there you want to be as close as possible to your room. Maybe if the rooms were larger or somehow different (although I loved my room) it might be worth it, but I don't think for the cost difference it is.

We had 6652 which is right next door and loved the location. It was great being aft and getting that one last look at the islands while sailing away. Also not alot of noise, excpet there was a sound in the ceiling like a ping pong ball rolling back and forth as the ship slowly rocked us to sleep. We didn't mind the metal verandah. We wanted to get 6652 again but it was already booked.
