75 Through Atlanta

Has anyone here been on 75 going down to Disney lately? Someone told me that they are working on the road and have lanes closed is this true? If so would it be quicker to go around even though it is longer?

Yup, your information is correct. The "connector" (i.e. I-75 & I-85 through the middle of the city) is currently undergoing repaving on the weekends as well as bridge work weekday nights. During other hours it is commuting He**.

Use I-285 when traveling through Atlanta for the time being.

I just went thru last Sat morning and had no problems, yes they were working and I went thru at 7 AM other wize I might have takem he loop.

We should be comming through Atlanta around 2:00 pm Thursday. Hopefuly we can miss the rush hour traffic.

at 2pm on a Thursday, I would definitly take I-75. Just your standard traffic at that time. Don't even bother with 285.

We plan on going thru about 1 am. I hope there is not much going on then either!! We wont be going down until July 19, so hopefully most of it will be done!

I would plan on going around 285 at 1AM. This is when they are doing the paving work and traffic can be bad. 285 is usually wide open in the early AM hours.
