75% off at Walmart

Stopped at Walmart last night. The sign on the door said Christmas 50% off, but in the Christmas department everything was 75% off including the costmetic/perfume sets. I bought some for donations. Also had some Shrek candy dispensers and bought an Incredibles bank filled with marshmallows for less than $1.00.

I lucked out on a great deal tonight at WM! I saw the perfume/cologne sets for 75% off. There was only one "Tommy" set that included cologne, body wash and after shave gel. There was no price and the UPC code was partially torn off (it looked like it was a return but everything was totally sealed). I tried scanning it to see how much it cost and it wouldn't scan with the UPC torn. No one was working today in that dept. so I stopped at jewelry and asked them what I should do. Didn't want to get in line and cause a back up with this. Jewelry called a member of management, described the item and asked what they could sell it for. Management said to give it to me for $2!!!! WOW!!!!!

I stocked up on lots of good gifts bags, etc. I purchased about 12 gift bags for .24 each. I chose the ones that didn't have a Christmas theme so I can use them all year! That's great since with my 2 girls it seems we go to at least 2 birthday parties a month!! These bags were solid blue, solid maroon and solid green. They had a holiday theme tag attached, but I can remove that and use it on a gift next year.

Also, they had white tissue paper for .24 per pack! These are not christmas exclusive either so I can use it to stuff all those bags I got!

Plus I got lots of stick-on gift labels (To: From: type) for .24! We ran out this year and had to use old Christmas cards that had been cut into fun shapes. So I am stocked up for at least 2 years.

My Walmart was all out of gift sets (bath&body, food, etc.).

Our walmart was just about picked clean. I too got about 4 gift bags, that was the only good deals left. I guess I missed the boat. I did get 2 little bottles of aftershave for the ds for like 75 cents each, regularly about $3.

I made out great yesterday at my local Walmart.
I found the Mickey statue that was $14.95 and because the register wouldn't compute it for the 75% off the manager marked it as $2.50.
I also bought tons of Christmas arts and crafts to work on while recuperating. If I get everything done I will have tons of little gifts for next year.
I had wanted these two counted cross stitch kits but wouldn't pay $9.98 for them. The $2.25 that I paid was great.
I found the greatest wooden carved cut outs that would take me hours to do on the router for $.20 each. I will paint them with markers and use them next year as gift tags for the family. I bought out what was left, around 30 of them.
I found lots of other things but too much to mention here.
There was not much left anywhere else, but the arts and crafts dept had exactly what I wanted. Peggie

I managed to stumble in to Walmart last week I guess the first day that it went to 75% off, I got some great deals:

Snow White light up cottage was $24.88; marked down to $5.71;
a candle set that was $10.00; marked down to $2.50;
a shirt that was $14.00; marked down to $1.00.
