Just wondering if people dress up for the theme nights, are they on the 7 day cruise? I know about Pirate night, but haven't heard much about any other theme nights.
Leaving in 59 days. Need to know if I need to pack for this. Thanks for any help.

Is there an 80's night? I'll have to pull my parachute pants out of the attic and my Thriller coat. ;)

Some people dress up (of course, the cruise staff does). You won't be out of place in normal cruise attire, but you will also fit right in if you do dress up. On our last 7 night, they had 60s, 70s, and 80s....maybe more, but definitely those.

As mentioned above the cruise staff definately gets dressed up and get the party rolling, but in 13 DCL cruises I have seen very few guests (maybe 1 or 2 per cruise) that dress up for these nights. I do not think these are highly publicized before hand, so if you have not cruises DCL before, you would not really know of the theme nights.

Pirate night, however, has people really starting to get into the spirit of things. I am picking out my pirtate gear for the repo this August!!!

I am just trying to think if I remember how to get my hair that big, remember that?

Just got off the Magic. The cruise staff dressed up for theme nights, but no one else did. It would be fun if you wanted to, though. We went to 70's and 80's nights and skipped 60's. We heard that was the worst of them, (although they did a Beatles tribute and I am a big Beatles fan) but the other two were lots of fun. They had Gloria Gaynor, John Travolta, Go-go's, and Bon Jovi contests, choreographed dance numbers, trivia, and, of course, lots of great music and dancing. The staff did a Michael Jackson tribute thing that was fabulous on 80's night. On 70's night, Rachel was the MC and she was out-of-this-world great! And talk about big hair!! I would not miss those nights.

Sounds like fun - I could go for that! :cool1: Do they have 70s/80s night on the 3-day Wonder?

adults only, very late at night (10:30 or 11pm)

There was an 80s family dance party in Studio Sea before the 80s adult party started. The 80s Time Warp Party was in Rockin' Bar D which is adult only after 9pm (and as stated above, the party doesn't start until 10:45 or 11pm).

And on the Jun25 West Coast Cruise, the 80s party in Rockin BarD got a little raunchy due to some wild (but hilarious) audience members. Travis, the host, started mumbling "I can see my next job now....Carnival".

That must be a running joke among the Disney CMs because we heard the same exact comment from one of the girls after one of the John Travolta wannabes did some questionable moves with his white jacket.
