70-300 IS -sticky zoom mvmt.

When I support the cam with about 50% weight on the zoom ring (left hand) it sticks when I start or stop zooming. It causes some shake and it results in shots that are not crisp until the second shot in an area. I am shooting an employees soccer games and with the speed of the game I am missing shots. When I support almost all the weight with the right hand grip the zoom has very smooth action.

Anyone else finding this?

Mine doesn't do it. If it did I would return to where I bought it or I would send it to Canon to be fixed.
