7 yr old neighbor boy missing for a while

One of the 3 kids that live on the corner of our street knocked on our door to see if his brother was here, said he'd been missing for an hour, the police had been called. DH jumped in his truck to drive the neighborhood looking for him, several other neighbors were doing the same thing. A police helicopter kept circling the neighborhood, and 3 police cars showed up. I went out to stand with the mom. She was just crying and crying (actually, I started crying too, envisioning if it was one of my kids missing). About 10 mins after I walked out, a kid came running, saying "We know were he is!" He had gone inside someone's house without telling his mom where he was!

I was sooo impressed with how the police responded. It was pretty awesome to see all the neighbors come together to help, too.

I'm going to go hug my kids now.

I can't even imagine how scary that must have been. thank heavens you were there to support the mom, I have tears just thinking about it.

My DD did that to me once. I've never been so scared in my life. It was only about 10 minutes before I found her, but that was the longest 10 minutes of my life.

That has to be one of the scariest things ever. My little cousin was lost one day for several hours. Guess what? He was asleep on the floor in a closet all covered up with blankets!
