This won't work right?

I just had to change my plans, and we're now getting into Orlando at 5:50. Can we ride the Magical Express straight to the Poly and then go to ASSports and check in later? Or do I need to cancel this ressie?

I really don't think it's possible. Maybe you can change 'Ohana's to another night?

That sounds like a tight fit to me! I haven't taken ME ever, so I can't comment on the time it takes or if you can go to Poly, but I do know for my personal level of comfort, I couldn't do it. Even if ME is super quick, your flight could be delayed, etc. You never know. You hate to start your trip with the stress of making it on time. I would try and change the time? You never know - they may have something available for you. Good luck and have fun!

I'm sorry, but this will not work. It absolutely takes 90 minutes from touchdown to resort arrival via ME -- and that's if everything goes your way. If your plane is late, or there's a huge line at the ME check-in counter, or you just miss the bus, or your bus is very full....It could be easily two hours.

I would recommend that you try to find a later ADR or a different night.

Also, if you're staying at ASMo, you will have to leave adequate time to get to the Poly because there is no resort-to-resort bus service.

We have made it to our hotel within 70 minutes of landing before. However, if you have ressies at All Stars, I don't think you can take the DME to the Poly. I'd either reschedule for a different night or make an 8pm or later ressie.

1) If you get a tail wind and arrive 1½-hrs early, no problem.
2) Otherwise, you can't make the ADR.

I agree. The Tiki Gods would really need to be smiling on you to make this one. Have you tried moving the 'Ohana reservation?

I can most certainly say that you will not make a 7pm reservation.

When are you going? I'm sure there is someone that would change times with you.

If you are on the DDP you will need to first check in to your resort hotel, before you will have your key to charge your dinning, so might likely you won't be able to count on being at the Poly by 7:00 p.m. Did you mention where you are staying? However, if you are paying out of pocket, and are willing to take a taxi, you might be able to get there by 7:00 p.m. provided that your plane arrives on time and that your baggage is unloaded without delay. I believe it takes approx. 25-30 minutes to drive from the airport to most of the resorts, so you would have approx. 40 minutes to get your luggage and account for minor delays. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I'm afraid I have to agree with the masses. Esp lately when it seems that all later flights are delayed by either weather or by the backups during the day. The flight time is landing time - and depending on where you are sitting on the plane, it could take almost 15 - 30 minutes just to get off.

I would definitely reschedule and then you don't have to start your vacation on such a chaotic note.

Darn, I was afraid that's the answer I'll get. My trip's in less than 2 weeks, this was a last minute change, and I doubt I'll be able to get a ressie for a different night.

Oh, well, in the grand scheme of things it's not a big deal, just a small disappointment.

What is the date of your OHana reservation? We are leaving in less than two weeks and I have been trying to get an OHana reservation with no success. We are looking for a reservation for 4 sometime between October 17th and October 26th. Just curious if you were cancelling if we could take your reservation. I have a few ADR'S but were still hoping for OHana. Thanks.

A question from the OP was not specifically addressed: No, you may not take Magical Express to a resort other than the one at which you will be staying that night.

While DME does not 'absolutely take 90 minutes from landing to resort', it does take an average of seventy minutes from stepping off the the plane into the terminal to stepping off the bus at the resort. Working with the law of averages and, as above, assuming the OP's flight lands on time, this would put them at All Star Sports at exactly the time they want to be at the Polynesian.
