7 nights or more in standard value room

My past Disney vacations (let alone vacations in general) have never surpassed 4 days or 4 nights in general. I'm in the planning stages for a 7 night (possibly 8) Disney vacation and with my budget as bad as it is, I'm gonna try to opt for the standard value rooms on property.

My question for anyone who has ever done a long vacation and has stayed in typical standard hotel rooms (in or out of Disney) for a week or more, how did you fare out? Did it feel comfortable or livable enough or did it started to feel irritable being in a cramped sleeping/living environment for so long? Sometimes I feel that hotel rooms can feel a little claustrophobic at times. But I fared through on past vacations.

Anyway the vacation that I am trying to plan will consist of just me and one other adult. We would have our own separate beds.

You'll be fine. The room is plenty big enough for two.At Disney you're not in the room that much and the grounds are nice even at the values.

The nice thing about the Disney resorts (no matter what level you are staying at) is that aside from sleeping and showering, you really don't have to spend much time at all in your room. With only 2 people, I wouldn't worry about it at all.

My family of 4 (DH, me, dd6 and ds3) stayed 10 nights at All-star sports. We survived! If we can make it with all our stuff you can too!

Spent 7 nights at POP and during that time my son got sick so 3 days were stuck in the room that was the only time that I had wished that I had a balcony or something to get out of the room too. Staying in the room because I needed to (was too young to leave alone except to go to the food court)

So I would say that since you aren't planning on being in the room that long (days on end) it would be fine.

Agree with PP's -- especially with just two folks, the value rooms are fine. I have a family of four, and we've done value rooms w/o issue. My kids actually enjoy the values more than the deluxes due to the theming.

We enjoyed each stay.

Even now with two teenagers, we manage very well. We always bring a twin sized airbed since we have a teenage boy and girl, and it fits nicely in the value room. The one sink set up in the bathroom is a bit tight, but we make it work, even with a 16yo daughter and all her "stuff"!

Two adults in a value room is a piece of cake from my viewpoint lol!

We never travel less than a 7 days on our vacations. We are fine in a standard room. I have to say we usually stay in deluxe there are 4 of us now, me, DH, DD6, and now my DS 1 1/2. I am far from a light packer and we have a stroller in our room too. If you think about the amount of time u spend really in the room you will be fine. Most of your days are at the parks. For us we really don't hang out in the room. I think if there was 5 of us it would be tight. My opinion it's doable for a week.

We've stayed value on all of our trips with the kids except one, and never less than seven nights. We haven't had any problems, including the first trip with a 15-month old when we were stuck in them room for almost 24 hours for a hurricane (2004). We drive to WDW, and we tend to unpack and store our luggage in the van most of the time.

We sure don't prefer staying in a value over a mod or deluxe, but we've done it a few times (8-10 days each time). We survived and still had a great time. I'd by far rather spend 8-10 days at a value resort than at home lol. (Heck, I might be willing to sleep in the back of a van if it meant I was there instead of here right now.)
