7 nights 7 resorts

I say if you are up for it, DO IT!!!! :thumbsup2 Why not you only live once. I just hope you guys a planning on packing light.

I commend you for the attempt but it wouldn't be for me. Your plans do sound incredible and the laid back attempts at the non park activities and incredible deluxe dining locations. Personally I wouldn't want to mess with all of the check in/check outs/luggage transfers in one trip, I would think that would be pretty time consuming overall. But hey, if you have the time, the points and the desire, I say go for it, just hope if you do you write a TR because I'd LOVE to read about it!

Sorry, not for me either. I don't mind one move on a trip, but that's enough for me. I wish you well should you decide to do it. :)

I guess if you don't mind living out of a suitcase. Personally, I wouldn't care for it. But that's just me. I don't even want to spend our first night (we drive down that day), anywhere else. We've always spent our first night at a moderate, but now I just want to settle in and be able to head to the parks the next day.

:worship:

I have always wanted to do this. Can't convince the wife though.:confused3

Now that the DVC has 7 diffrent resorts at WDW how fun or how much of a pain would it be to take a weeks vacation and stay at each resort one night.
I ran the idea past my husband this evening on our walk. He said he'd be fine with this ... sounds like fun. We both agreed one would have to pack light (live from a carry-on bag) with no food to move. Having a car would be a big help ... no using bell services to move or store stuff. Eating "out" is a must (no in-room cooking) ... and we'd be very happy for the fresh coffee/creamer packets as we wouldn't have our normal Owners Locker.

Sure it sounds like fun, exhausting, expensive, and a hassle to make all the arrangements. But if you're agile enough, energetic, etc., go for it. I, too, would love to see the pictures and read the blow-by-blow TR. Can you really get consecutive single nights in July that meet your schedule?

The two-night plan others have mentioned sounds much better -- but, for a one time thing that would give you bragging rights for a long time (not too many challengers to duplicate it I suspect) it does sound fun (and a tad crazy).

It sounds a lot like a cross country road trip but without all the driving! Some of my favorite vacations have been doing those and it's a rare thing to stay at a place more than one night. It's not typically what someone would expect for a Disney vacation, but why not?!

We did something similar. All girls trip no kids. We stayed in 5 different hotels, concierge level at each but stayed two days at each one. We were gone 10 days and loved each one. Loved comparing the evening appetizers and wines etc at each one. We were at AK, Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian and Boardwalk. I returned with my husband a year later and did Beach Club, Yacht Club, Polynesian and Grand Floridian all in concierge for our 30 anniversary. We were there for 10 days total that time too.

As a person who has done many a split stay, I say crazy. You are "homeless" for the greater part of the day, have to be out by 11am and no real guarantee that your room will be ready by the room ready time. If all I wanted was a place to crash--because really that is all you're getting--I'd wait for a discount and stay at a value resort. IMHO it is a waste of points because you don't even really have the room for 24 hours on each stay just 19 hours if your room is ready at room ready time if not start going backward from there. You will not be able to experience the best of what each resort has to offer and part of the price of our points and dues are for the amenities that we can experience at each resort.

New resort every day = too much time at the front desk for me.
Unless that's the way you really want to experience Disney. :rotfl:

It sounds interesting but only if you are traveling solo or with one other adult and have limited luggage. I agree with a PP that staying 2 nights at each resort would be better but that would make it a 2 week trip. We've split stays between 2 resorts before and that would be my max per trip but it's a cool idea for someone to try :thumbsup2 (just not me! :lmao:)

I don't know if anyone else has thougt of this or is thinking of doing this.

I was thinking about a July 2010 trip and not going to the theme parks but mabye doing the Deluxe dining plan and going to the water parks.

Am I CRAZY or does this sound fun!!!!!!

Reading this just makes me dizzy! :upsidedow Maybe I am getting old, but a schedule like that would wear me out and then I would need another vacation to recover from the first one. If it is something that you have your heart set on though, I say try it and see if it is the adventure that you are hoping for.

C-R-A-Z-Y :scared1:

But......
If you do it and bring your guitar and perform in the lobby each night, you can pretend you're a travelling rock star!!

Make it a trio and you can call yourselves the DVC-3:hippie:
