This is our first cruise on the western and the first time actually getting off at the islands.
At each island, can you purchase liquor on the island and consume it on board? Do the islands sell beer as us know it? Like Miller or Bud? I do not know whether to bring some on, have a basket done.....or just get a mug deal...with four men, that expense could quickly get out of hand!!
Please let me know what you have done ...what has worked or not....
thanks!!

I do not know the answer to the beer question... other than you can bring your own on at Port Canaveral. As for the alcohol at the ports... you cannot buy duty free on Grand Cayman because Disney does not allow third party tenders. Meaning that when you buy it duty free it must be delivered to your ship, you cannot carry it out of the store... But, Disney does not allow other tenders (boats) to bring things to the ship. You can however, purchase alcohol duty free at Cozumel. The shop is at the pier just before you get on the ship. This alcohol can be brought back to your room.

Hi, although we were not four men..we still drank..

We ordered four baskets, two for kids, two for us.. :Pinkbounc One had two bottles of wine, the other 24 or 48 cans of corona...Forget...

In cozumel we bought corona 2 for 1$... WE bought about 30-40 at least...Honestly think it is more...Just remember to tell them not to remove the tops, and borrow a bottle opener...Disney had no qualms, our bags went through the screener, and were banging away...

This worked well for us, as Cozumel was Wednesday, and we had enough to last till then, and then our stash at Cozumel lasted us...

Hope that helps. :goodvibes

As far as beer goes, I would either bring it on board when you embark at Port Canaveral or pick it up at your first stop in Key West. You cannot bring alcohol on board in Grand Cayman due to the tender but can restock in Cozumel without a problem. You will should not have a problem finding major US brands in any of your ports.

Disney does not seem to have a problem with people bringing alcohol on board for consumption like some cruise lines.
