We have done both a 7 night and 3 night on DCL, we are veteran cruisers on other lines as well.

We have DD5 and DS3.

Would you do a 7 night, or a B2B to get 2 days at CC? It looks like the western with 2 CC stops are not going to happen in 2007?

Is a B2B a pain with kids?

What to do at Nassau with younger kids, does the 4 day stop anywhere else beside Nassau and CC? Don't care east or west, thoughts with kids our age?

THANKS!

we originally wanted to cruise in the summer of 2007, but then found out that the Magic would be in the Med. I briefly thought about back to back cruises (3/4 day) but if you run the numbers, a back to back cruise would cost a lot more than a 7 day cruise! Which wouldn't have been that big of a deal, but I am really not at all interested in Nassau! And a back to back cruise would take us there twice. Yes, we could stay on the ship one of those times, or even both, but I really wanted to go see some places I haven't been to, and I have always wanted to see St. Thomas. So we decided to wait another year until 2008 and will book our cruise for August, hoping that DCL will continue with their Eastern/Western rotations!

Also back to back cruises on the Wonder will give you the same dinner menus twice where the Magic has 7 different menus, the kids clubs have the same activities twice vs more different activities on the Magic.

Unfortunately for those wanting a 7 day in the Caribbean for summer 2007, the Magic will be in the Med and the Wonder is scheduled for 3 and 4 night cruises. Kinda surprising that they didn't schedule at least one or two 7 nights sprinkled in for the Wonder in 2007, but they didn't.

I would just do a 7 day...with the b2b you get stuck goign to Nassau twice, I don't even want to go once again, never mind twice!!

I just looked into a B2B on the Wonder for the summer of 2007 and the price for 9 was over 10K plus air. I booked a 9 day cruise on the Crown Princess for 8800. for 4 Cabins out of Brooklyn. A limo from South Jersey to the port is $275 plus 15% grat. Less money more days, new ship. Worth the try. I flew west for the Mexican Riviera last year and hate the long flight. It looks to me like the Magic will be away every other year for who knows how long. I can take the whole family on the cruise for what I would have paid for the 2 of us to sail the Med. with the Magic. Didn't make cents!!!! HA HA We will book the Magic for 1/05/08 for the family while on our B2B the end of the month. :cool1: :Pinkbounc

We were on Celebrity in Jan '05 for 12 nights, and did a RCCL for a long weekend earlier this year....I am sure you will love Princess, we loved Celebrity even after being on both the Magic and Wonder........we went to WDW in May with DD5, left DS at home............I want to go back, but DS3 is too short for the roller coasters and that would be a nightmare.............I want a Disney fix............and DCL fits the bill, even though we could go twice on another line. Sometimes DCL is worth it! :thumbsup2

exactly what I said! I have never even been there, but looking at the pictures and hearing stories....no thanks! I'll pass! I'd rather wait another year and cruise on the Magic to St. Maarten and St. Thomas!! :cloud9:
