I'm sorry about the awful guest relations and lack of pixie dust. You know, I think that the CMs deals w/ so many rude guests bc it's so sad that almost everyone now is rude (where are all the friendly people?) that they snap (I know, not an excuse, but I'm sure it is tough having to direct guests who don't listen anyway, etc in the very HOT weather.

It was very cute and lasted her for 2 more days. Probably would have lasted longer if she got oen WITHOUT glitter:lmao:
Love the glitter tatoo..the divas should've gotten one! :cutie:
We stopped at the Dawa bar and got a Corona (mom) and I got a Lost on the Safari....
What is a Lost on the Safari?

That is when it started raining...you can't tell from this picture but boy was it coming down.
We left the hotel with some sprinkles...:scared:
By the time we got to DTD...it was POURING. Harder than I can even express. Buckets upon Buckets...the parking lot was starting to "flood".
Guess who didn't bring umbrellas...or ponchos?
At about 6:59 the rain paused...
What day was this? We had rain the day we went to AK(Wednesday)...left the park @3pm b/c we had a dinner ADR @Artists Point and wanted to get cleaned up before...well we shouldn't have bothered cause the sky opened up when we left Pop for WL...we were all soaked and windblown by the time we got there...really put a damper on the evening :sad2:
Also had rain Thursday @MK (the day you saw us!) @4pm...we were on Splash Mountain and actually got stuck on it when they stopped the ride due to lightning! Got soaked again on our way from MK to Poly for dinner @Ohana but after a Lapu Lapu we were ready to head back to MK in the evening!
:umbrella:

Your mom is the coolest. Love the tattoo

A Lost on Safari has rum with some fruit juices...probably something else too, but it was soooo yummy!

Yea that was Wed...when we went to dinner was the big storm that you caught on the way to Artist Point. We missed the one on Thursday :)

Your mom is the coolest. Love the tattoo

Lol isn't she?? she was so cute cause she told the airbrush lady she wanted her fake one where my real one is:rotfl:

Just happened to find this little treasure. I love that you went with your momma! I hope when my kids grow up, they too want to go to WDW with me. :) LOVE the glitter tattoo. Did they tell you how long it would last?

btw- I too get Mickey Heads on my toes when I go to WDW!:thumbsup2

OK... who's got the Jellyroll pictures?? Please post now. :teeth:

Add me to another person that liked your mom's tattoo. While it didn’t last long, the glitter was pretty cool.

I think they said the tattoo would last a week. How they do it is they spray BLACK paint first and then put glitter over it. She usually wears her purse diagonally over her shoulder and that kinda rubbed off the glitter. Once the glitter started wearing off it looked...funny. So we just washed it off. Plus most of Mom's shirts hide it anyway.

Day 5

Today was the day Mom was getting her belated Birthday present:banana: I'm bad at keeping secrets so she knew about it. We were going to the MK for the KTTK Tour!!!

For some reason I didn't trust the time I had written down on my spreadsheet so we decided to head to the MK early. Mom wasn't too happy but knew I had been pretty good about dragging her out of bed early. PLUS I promised that if we arrived early we could go back to the Main St Bakery for some more French Toast Loaf!!

Well by the time we got to the MK (awesome parking spot btw!) it was around 7:45. I was dissapointed in the opening ceremony though. I didn't know they did a condensed version for EMH. Oh well...at least I wasn't blubbering like a baby...like I usually do.

At this point I was 90% sure that our tour time was for 8:30 so off we went to the bakery. As much of an extrovert as I am, I usually chicken out approaching Diser's I don't know. I saw probably around half a dozen during the trip and didn't say ANYTHING. I think there was even one on our tour :headache:

After we had sat down and started our breakfast, a group of women sat down next to us. One of them had on a rhinestone DIVA pin...I was almost certain these were the Dis Divas but was to chicken to say hi:flower3:

Around 8:20 we went to check in for our tour. I'm not going to say much more about it than it was AMAZING!! My mom always wanted to see what I got to do at Disney and this allowed us a chance backstage. Our tour guide was Robin and I am in the process of writing Disney a letter to let them know how WONDERFUL she was.

I did so good on the tour...I only cried twice:lmao: My mom's only complaint was the tour was more about history than seeing how Disney "works"...but she LOVED it nonetheless. I really can't say enough!

At this point we decided we were going to leave the car in our fantastic parking spot and head back to the hotel. We originally had plans for an Illuminations cruise tonight but after we saw there was NO globe, we cancelled those. We did still have an ADR for Chef's De France and then planned on coming back to the MK to see Spectro and Wishes...which we had missed earlier in the week.

The bus wasn't bad...it came fairly quickly and we were back at the hotel before long. We stopped in the gift shop to grab an umbrella (the skies were looking dark) and a few "adult" drinks.

After cleaning up and getting dressed we were off...Here is the MAJOR reason I rent a car. It was 95 degrees and we waited like 20 minutes for the bus to arrive...I know it doesn't sound long, but in 95 degree HEAT it is:mad:

We were cutting it close to our 5 p.m. adr when we arrived at EPCOT. We quickly made it through the turnstiles and were trying to make it to France before the skies opened up.

Oh well.

In Canada it was sprinkling...by the UK it was raining cats and dogs...and my $2 Target umbrella was showing that you get what you pay for. BTW, thanks to the guy that yelled nice umbrella as it turned INSIDE OUT!

Mom was so excited to be here...
ry%3D320

Even though she HATES having her picture taken!
ry%3D320

We checked in for our 5 p.m. ADR but the restaurant wasn't even open yet.
ry%3D320

Once 5 p.m rolled around, everyone waiting under the canopy was ushered inside pretty quickly. What a beautiful restaurant...and the Host wasn't half bad either :goodvibes

Dinner was very good...with the exception of a few things. I know it's Disney and I know there will be kids there, yada yada. But do you think this is the appropriate place to not only let your kid stick all the penne noodles on her fingers...but to also HELP HER???

And #2 All I have to say is, ladies, please remember that it's not cute to wear a dark blue bra with a white shirt....especially if it rains. AND did you think it was appropriate to ask the restaurant for TABLECLOTHES (to use as towels) due to how heavily drenched you and your 3 girls were?:confused3

After dinner we had time to ride Soarin'...here is where the night goes downhill a bit. It was bound to happen really and I won't go into much detail. Let's just say I said something kinda dumb to my mom while on Soarin' that she took the wrong way but nonetheless it hurt her feelings.

By the time we got to the MK it was bothering me. She was upset and I was upset because she was upset. This resulted in a mother/daughter fight in front of the MK. Mom and I get along really well but once in a while these things happen. I was so excited we had been getting along so well the whole week.

Now I didn't want to go see fireworks because I knew she was upset...this went on for a while, there were lots of tears and we eventually made our way inside.

We had missed Spectromagic:sad1: but still had time for Wishes. Mom took a quick smoke break and I took some pics.

Beware at this point...if you don't like seeing pics of Cinderella Castle, skip forward. I was getting the hang of my new camera and tooks some pretty awesome pics (for me anyway!!)

Believe it or not, those were just some of my favorites. When my TR is done, I will post a link to ALL my pics.

We stayed long enough to catch the kiss goodnight:lovestruc (although it was hard to hear and I don't think Mom got the full affect).

We rode the Ferry Boat back to the parking lot where we still had that SUPER awesome parking spot from 7 a.m.!!!!

I was sad as I knew this was my last visit to the MK this trip, but we still had a day and half left!!

ETA: This was one of the days where we got the Magic back a little, despite our minor argument.

#1 Robin, our KTTK guide was AMAZING. I can't say enough about her or the tour. And it reminded me why I visit WDW. I wish I could retell the story she told about Roy Disney's speech when the MK opened. It really warmed my heart (the 1st time I cried, lol). At the end of the tour she thanked us. She reminded us that Disney and Roy built this for US and we are part of why she loves her job so much (2nd time I cried). I really can't say enough about her.

#2 Just being in the MK and watching Wishes, reminded me again of why I go. It really was a MAGICAL night

Okay... does anyone else think your mom looks like your sister?! You both look fabulous, even with rain, rude CMs, and fights in front of MK!!

Thanks for sharing your wonderful TR. And, BTW, I am TOTALLY with you about being to shy to approach Disers!! That made me giggle...;)

Lol we get that all the time! My mom looks fantastic for being....ready for this???

:scared1: I know!! At least I know I will look good in my old age:lmao:

And I'm glad I'm not the only one that doesn't approach disers!

Oh Mandy...loving your TR...btw did your parents name you after the Barry Manilow song?!?!?

Don't blame you for not saying Hi...we were probably pretty scary that morning...:scared:
I don't think we were fully awake (the other Divas NEED COFFEE!) I don't drink the stuff and was counting on the French Toast Loaf to give me the kick in the pants I needed but I ended up being very disappointed in it and threw 1/2 it away...:sad2:
(But I had told Diva Mary & Diva Becky about you since they worked @Disney on the CP!)

The tour sounds WONDERFUL! I'd like to do it with my DH & DS (how old do you have to be?) I would've cried too (I was balling like a baby @Walt Disney One Man & His Dream @DHS...and I've seen it before!) :sad1:

So sorry things went south...love my Mom too but after awhile...:headache:
Heck even the Divas were getting sick of each other by the end of our trip!

Oh, I just got goosebumps reading about you and your mom on the KTTK tour, because that's exactly what my mom and I are going to be doing on her actual birthday in January!

We can't wait!

Love the TR!!!

Truly love your report and your pics (esp of the castle) are absolutely great!! :thumbsup2 and I agree with everyone here - your Mom could be your sister and she's 51?!!! No Way!

I hope you and your Mom made up (it sounded like it by the end of the evening - I tend to get real quiet when my daughter & I fuss or if I get my feelings hurt but we always make up - usually by me just giving in).

Anxious to read more!

You wanna know the funny thing? No one calls me Mandy except Diser's!!:rotfl: I always hated that nickname (thought it sounded stuck up) But I thought it made a cute screenname since I worked on MainSt.

I cry at One Man's Dream too!!! Such a sap!

I am not sure how old you have to be...there were only Adults on the tour.

Mom and I did makeup...like always. It was something dumb but I think we were both tired and it had been a long week of seeing each other EVERY day, all day. We work together but at least we go home to our own homes at night!!

The same people who share a can of corn while @MK! :scared:

:lmao: I wish I could have taken a pic of the lady covered in tableclothes.

I am not sure if they asked for them or if the host brought them over...but at first it was just the kids. I think maybe Mom was given one to uh...cover up...
