Good morning everyone,
I just got off the phone with DCL. My DW and I just booked the 7 night to CC and WDW out of New York in October of 2016. The CM said they were going fast, (over 150 calls were waiting as of 8:20 this morning). You can book today if you are Gold or Platinum. Silver and first time cruisers will be able to book on Wednesday the 20th. We are sooooo happy! We had sailed out of NY when DCL was doing the Canada cruise and we really loved it. Also, the CM told me there is a black out on these cruises....no discount for booking onboard or if your changing your previous cruise that you had already booked. There is still the onboard credit.

I just wanted to give everyone a heads-up.

Congrats!:thumbsup2

Can I ask what date/ room category you've booked please? I'm waiting to hear back from my TA, as we are wanting an 11b room on the October 22nd cruise:thumbsup2

Since they are blacked out, is the deposit still half for OBB or does it become a full deposit?

Can't say I am surprised at this report. I wonder if the Galveston and NYC ports are in part to gather more data for Disney about the addition of a 5th ship and where it could port.

Correcting my response -- someone posted on another thread they confirmed this morning that the reduced deposit is still available, just no 10% discount. The 5-night cruise would not qualify for a reduced deposit, though; only the longer cruises.

Enjoy your cruise!

I always thought I would be all over a cruise from NYC, since we live in Manhattan. But I can't justify my fourth and fifth graders missing a week of school. I wish it was during the summer. Oh well.

The more we looked at this, the less we would be able to do it. There's a 4n hole still from arrival to NYC to the 5n Canada cruise. Speculations say it could be a 4n Canada or 2 2n to nowhere.

We might have to wait at this time. These would imply only 3 days at most from school which we would be ok.

Congratulations, Coach! I'll be checking prices tomorrow, and I hope I can afford it! We booked the Magic for next May but sailing from NY would be great! Maybe we'll be sailing together again!
