7 mos out.. easiest resort to get into?

ok.. booking for 1st week in Aug 2011.. we will book at AKV at 11 mos out to lock in a 2 bedroom. We want BCV.... second will be BWV 3rd.. VWL...not sure which follows.. but which resorts tend to always have openings..? SSR?

For August, the only one I see as maybe being tough to get into is the BCV because of the desire to use SAB. However, we've always spent time there in the summers, though we had to split our stay once with the BWV.

I think you have a good chance to get any DVC resort in August, including BCV at the 7 month mark, just call on the first day. Look at this thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2271839
For August 2010, next month, it still shows many DVC members are not reporting that they could not get a reservation. Some have booked up, like BCV, BWV and Hilton Head others have no reports. Keep in mind this thread does not confirm rooms are available for reservations as it's just voluntary information and not linked to the the reservation system.

When other resorts are booked, OKW and SSR seems to have some availability. It depends on the time of year and how far in advance you are booking. Remember that 2 months before any given date, Disney gives the available DVC inventory to CRO.

We got 3 nights in a BCV studio this year right at the 7 month mark. We will be there 7/30 - 8/2. I did call back 2 weeks later and they were gone.

So, call the morning of your 7 month window exactly at 9:00 am and I think your shot is very good.

I second this advice. I called last year the morning of our 7 month window and was able to get BWV standard view for 6 nights. And if you are unable to get what you want, WL and keep calling.
