7 month window question

This will be my first time modifying at the 7 month mark and just want to be sure I've got it right. My current reservation is at my home resort, Copper Creek checking in May 6. If I want to change to BLT checking in May 7, I need to get online to modify it on October 7th, correct? I just want to be sure I dont need to modify 7 months out from the date of my current check in, May 6. Thank you.
