7 month chances GFV

Hello All,

I would really like to stay in a two bedroom at Grand Floridian Villas.. What do you think my chances are at the 7 moth window for late September?

I think you have a good chance!

Right now it seems the rooms that mostly aren't available at 7 months are the studios. For now anyways. And they might even be attainable at 7 months for certain off-peak times.

I'd just do it right at the start, the morning of your window, to be sure though! And this year is a good time to be doing it, since things will probably look very different once it sells out.

Yeah i agree i almost booked it for my upcoming August trip. It was available but i decided to stay longer and changed to OKW. Figured i would rather stay an extra day

We have a 2 bd lock off booked for the end of Feb which I booked within the 7 month window, probably right at the opening of the window. Can't wait to check in.

Likely a certainty to get a 2BR before September 26. For rest of Sep it is probably a good chance but not a certainty. Most of Sep is one of the easiest times of the year to get a near park resort and at VGF the only ones that would have a risk of being filled by 7 months out for that time are the studios (and lock-off but not the dedicated 2BRs) However, as soon as Food & Wine starts (Sep 26) the near park resorts (including near MK) will start getting more iffy.

We're at VGF right now in a 1 bdrm...checked in yesterday....fortunately made it out of PHL only a few hours ahead of the snow...thanks to SWA getting us on the first flight in a.m. Instead of our original midday flight! I booked on the first day of the booking window which was actually a little shorter than 7 months since the resort wasn't even open yet. Love, love, love it! Would love to add on....however, DH just retired so we need to see how the first year goes before we make any major purchases like an add-on! Also going to post on the Theme Park board about our experiences so far with Magic Bands....wasn't sure about them before we got here but I think they're growing on me.

We have 10 people so we needed a 2 bedroom lock off, I started stalking the DVC site two months before (mid June required), and noticed mostly dedicated standard and some lake view, almost never lock offs, granted, not the same dates, but I was curious. Two days before our 7 month window opened a 2 bedroom lock off lake view was available. I jumped on it and took a chance to walk it. We were lucky it worked out. We figured this year would be the best to try and stay before all the points are sold. GOOD LUCK ...

We were able to get a 2bdrm lake view at 7 months for our April 6th vacation. We are owners at SSR, but had points banked up, so thought we would try out VGF. We are really excited!!

Just got a 2br at 7 months for late August, no problem. Seems the lock offs go quicker than the dedicated.
Given the ridiculous points per night here, you'll be just fine.
