7 month booking window

I seem to be confused after reading so much about booking 7 months out. Could someone please clarify. Our first trip home to SSR will be June 2004. I would like to either stay at BCV, Boardwalk, or VWL the end of May/First of June 2005. Will I be able to book this trip 7 months After I check out of SSR or 7 months prior to May/June 2005?

You can book at a non-home resort at 7 months before the check out date from the trip you are reserving.

So if you are planning on, for example, staying at BWV and checking out on August 13, 2005 then you can make your reservation on January 13 2005 (assuming that's not a Saturday or Sunday).

Granny- so if we plan on going 5/29-6/5 we could book this trip on november 5 2004?

If you plan to check out on June 5, 2005 then you can make the reservation on November 5, 2004. If you mean you want to stay the night of June 5, 2005 and check out on June 6, 2005 then it would be November 6, 2004 when you could make the reservation. (Only problem is that next year November 6, 2004 falls on a Saturday, so you would have to wait until Monday, November 8, 2004).
