I have a booking question. Say I book a week within the 11 month booking window say VGC. At the 7 month window of my checkin day, can I call member services and reallocate some SSR points into that stay or add a day at the end with SSR points?

I have NO idea what you're asking, sorry. I think you want to add a day from a different contract. I have no idea, but I would call DVC and ask, you never know what magic is out there.

You can add nights at 7 months with your SSR points if that night is available but you cannot reallocate SSR points to the nights which were reserved using home resort points during the 11-month window.

You can not replace a home resort booking with non home resort points unless there are still days available for the trip

If you have banked points from SSR and there are days in the middle….not just beginning or end the system does pick them up with those points.

But, if you want try days with SSR you have too book those and then drop the days from the original. That means beginning or end only since they will not split a trip after it’s made.

You can add a day for sure at the end as long as they room is there.

I do this when I can Had RV booked during home resort and then was able to snag same days with SSR points so canceled the original.

You can book any days that are still available with the SSR points at either end of your original reservation and then modify your original reservation keeping only a single block of days, you can't split it.. Keep in mind you can associate the different reservations if the booking category remains the same, but you cannot link them so there is the possibility you need to check out and check back into a different room mid vacation.

When you book the same room with different points in the same membership, those reservations can be combined into one. It is only when you book them on different memberships...different UY's that it can not and has to be noted.

For example, I own SSR points in both my Aug and Dec UY. If I book RIV on my Aug UY with a combination of SSR and RIV points because I got them at different times, those can be combined into one...

However, if I have to use my SSR points to secure RIV nights on my Dec UY while the other RIV nights were booked on my Aug UY, then it stays two reservations and I have to note it so we don't have to change rooms.

You're right of course, I forget sometimes not everyone has 4 different memberships. :rotfl2:

Point well taken.
