I am a BLT owner who is interested in staying in a VWL studio on one of our trips. We love BLT so we have no problem staying there if we can't get into VWL. I'm wondering what times are typically easier to get into VWL at 7 months and what times are typically harder. Thanks.

It was available for us at the seven month mark for May 2011, 2 bd and for Oct 2011 for a studio.
It seems to be easier to get these days since BLT opened. We booked it for October since BWV, BCV & BLT were all full for the days we needed.

Never stayed there but I think my DH will love it.. :)

We got VWL around 5 months out for mid August in 2009.

I was very surprised that at dedicated 2 bedroom was not available at VWL for the last 3 night weekend in October when I called exactly at 7 months. However, I booked a dedicated 2 bedroom at SSR and waitlisted and now have a Treehouse for that stay. It's the best substitute for my family for the VWL stay, and we're all excited!

So, I'm not the only one who thinks that the THVs are like an extension of VWL?:rotfl:

A reason to love SSR, it's the only reso that's like 2 resorts in one!

The ThanksgivingChristmas holiday season at VWL is tough to book 7 months out (not always impossible, though), but beyond that I'd say you'd stand fairly good chances. The May and October timeframes are more popular for the EPCOT resorts due to the two related festivals.

We got a two-bedroom at seven months for VWL for our trip in June. My mom decided to join us a few months ago and we tried to get her a studio at about 4 months out and couldn't. We were able to get her a one-bedroom there, though! So excited to try VWL!

I called on Tuesday of this week for a Thanksgiving week stay in a 1-bedroom and am waitlisted. OKW and SSR were available for the week, so I took SSR. Hoping that the waitlist comes thru for us.:wizard: And I think it was a couple of nights in the middle of the week that were not available.

Looking forward to our 2 BR at VWL this summer! Looks like a lovely resort! Can't wait to ride the Sea Racers on Bay Lake! Looks really nice! Have tried the Sea Racers on Crescent Lake, but have heard Bay Lake has alot more room to explore!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

We were able to get a week in a Studio at VWL at 6 months out for this September. Mid-August through the 3rd week in Sept. 2011 was wide open. I guess things pick up during Food & Wine and Not So Scarey. We've also been able to book a Studio during the 1st 2 weeks in December within the 7-month window, but that was a couple years back, so things may have changed by now.

Last year, we called EXACTLY at our 7 month window to get into BC from the 4-8th of december..

Imagine our surprise when MS told me that while BC was booked, she could get me in a 1BR at VWL. :scared1:

Of course, I snatched it up, and luckily, we had the points for the one bedroom.

Not sure if we would have been able to get a studio though.
