When at Cayman we are planning a half day with Captain Marvin, but want to just hang out the other half. What could we look forward to doing at Rum Point and/or 7 Mile Beach? Any suggestions, previous experiences, and advice would be appreciated.

It will be tight to get in Rum Point (and spend a respectable amount of time there), then make it back to the ship before 4:30 for the last tender. Not saying it cannot be done, but you will be hurried to do it.

What time does your Captain Marvin's tour get you back to the marina? From there, if you left immediately by car it would take 30 to 45 minutes minimum to get to Rum Point. Then another 30 - 45 minutes from Rum Point back to the tender pier.

Others who experienced this could give more reliable estimates, but it is a drive to Rum Point.

Good luck!

For those who have been to both. How are they? I was at 7 mile beach, so any opinions from anyone who went to Rum Point would be appreciated.

We were planning to do the 10-1 half day snorkel. A lot of what we plan to do depends on feedback about these two locations though. We are pretty flexible and just want to find a relaxing yet recreational spot. We have three girls 5, 6, and 8.
