Hey!

I'm a Disneyland vet, and I've never been to Disney World before but will be in town for work next week and have 7 hours on our last day there to splurge for the park. I'm debating between Epcot and Animal Kingdom (my coworker who has visited before likes both) and wondered if y'all had expert opinions!

If it makes a difference, I'm not a roller coasters person (the drop on Pirates is about my preferred level of thrill lol).

My family love Epcot. My boys have actually said they only want to go to AK so they can have lunch at the Rainforest Cafe!
They love wandering around the countries and eating the different foods (& hubby and I aren't going to complain about having a cold beer now and again!! Lol)

The safari at AK is lovely and the Lion King show is great but we rarely spend more than half a day there anymore

Epcot. You can get a lot done at Epcot with seven hours if you plan well... fastpass Soaring and get in line early for test track, def skip mission space! I like thrills and that one makes me sick -even the less intense green team. Spaceship earth is great! Living with land is a must do too!

AK is more of an immersive thematic experience. Two excellent Broadway style live shows, zoo exhibits are top notch, and the safari is great. Plenty to fill up your seven hours without riding the coaster there.

EPCOT is more about ticking attractions off the list (future world), and shopping, restaurants, and movies (world showcase), with a lot more walking than at AK. And your FP+ skills will really have to be on point; if you don't already have your ticket and are making FP+ readies now, your access to attractions could potentially be more limited. Only live shows I'm currently aware of are more along the line of street performers, which aren't really my thing.

My personal preferences lead AK over EPCOT.

Epcot is the best! Another vote for it!
While I do love AK, I could spend hours and days, and usually do, sauntering around the world! There's so much to see, eat and do!

Do you love shopping? Eating? Drinking? Then Epcot for sure.

AK is more zooish with rides and some food.

Personally, I would do epcot. However, you can't do all Epcot in 7 hours without great planning and some luck. You *can* do all of AK in 7 hours.

Epcot is good for walking around, with the countries and whatnot. But AK has the best roller coaster ever.... it's a tough call....

Epcot. We spend days in Epcot. We barely spend 3 hours at AK - and 1 of those is usually at an ADR.

I would do AK. I've been to a few nice zoos in the past but only one has gotten close to how nice AK is. The views and atmosphere are amazing. Since this is about live animals, it is a different experience each time.

While AK is my favorite park and has my fav WDW show and attraction (FOTLK and Tree of Life) I think I might vote for Epcot on this one. The World Showcase is unique and something different to experience for a Disneyland vet

I am assuming you are from So Cal? I also live in So Cal and is about 20 minutes away from Disneyland. We went in April for the first time and I would recommend Epcot.

AK is nice but it's more of zoo feeling? You can get almost same experience in San Diego zoo and Wild Animal Park? Disneyland has It's Tough to be a Bug! and Finding Nemo. Since you don't do roller coaster, you don't need to do Expedition Everest. You can do Kali River Rapid at Knotts or Magic Mountain.

Epcot on the other had has rides Disneyland don't have which we found we like such as Test Track, Living With the Land (nice relaxing ride to see all the agriculture - much to our surprise, we really enjoyed this ride), Mission: Space (ask for green sitting if you get motion sickness) and of course World Showcase which was really beautiful and lots of photo opportunities.

Thanks so much for all of the opinions, folks, super helpful! I think I am going to end up in Epcot.

@Alice777 - I'm actually in southern Arizona haha, but close!
