b.allow his DW [who is now renamed the dollar destroyer] to do the smoozing then sneek in the lounge and hide out with DH of Aussiekaren , who is also hiding in the toilets.

c.introduce himself and then quietly retreat to the corner of the lounge pretending to be travelling alone and a blind mute.

d.he wears his mickey ears, WDW tshirt, DCL shorts and DL crocs while high fiveing the under 6 crowd who think hes so cool...

Knowing my DH I'd say b. is by far the most likely, especially if he has a fellow sufferer to talk to

Becpee we've changed our internal flight to go via Atlanta. Departs LAX at 10.30am and arrives MCO at 8.30pm. Didn't like the alternative of the red eye. No cost to change. Keen to know how you got on.

we are doing the 12.40am redeye...hopefully the DH will get a few hours sleep and I'll some peace and quiet.

wishing you all success in your flight changes....I'm only up to my 4th so far....and 6 weeks to go.

God I love travel...always exciting, never dull

Might be a silly question but...do you just check your flights on the operators website to see if there has been any changes?

We had our first change the day after we booked which involved a cancelled flight and being switched to a different airline but we were just told by the TA what had happened

my mantra is
"check daily and always have a back up flight you'd like to be put on if you can"
otherwise they could put you on "stand by" and not a guaranteed seat.
