Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to my trip report. Anyway, we had a PS for Spoodles for dinner the day we did the pop-in at MK. We had never eaten there before. We took the 5 minute ferry boat from YC to the Boardwalk and checked in at the podium. The restaurant was big and loud and cheerful, and we felt at home right away! We got an appetizer:
Mediterranean Dips - hitipi, chermoula, tzatziki, and hummus, with toasted pita triangles, marinated olives and almonds $7.99
Which was wonderful!!! I don't know which one was the chili paste, but that is the one I liked the best and the flatbread was to die for! I also got this:
Peasant Salad - vine-ripened tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, bell peppers, kalamata olives, pepperoncini, and feta cheese, marinated in red wine vinaigrette $6.29
I got it without the feta cheese and it was awesome!
DH had:
Grilled Salmon "Provencal" butter basted with a vegetable caponata $19.99
and he raved about how good it was. DD9 ordered the pizza and it was cooked in a big wood burning oven and looked and smelled delicious! I didn't try any, but she proclaimed it "the best pizza she'd ever had at Disney World." I know their pizza tends to be bland, this was not.
I wanted something without cheese and there wasn't anything on the menu that didn't have cheese. So I asked our waiter for just some pasta with olive oil, shrimp and snap peas. He brought exactly that and it was delicious!!!!
DS5 had mac and cheese and he was happy!
Overall, we really liked this restaurant and would eat there again. People around us got some really interesting dishes and everything seemed yummy!
Next up: Stormalong Bay and where in the heck is that beach ball we brought?
