In the past we've normally gone for two weeks which has always seemed perfect (especially for a Disney nut such as myself :p
This time around because I'm going with friends and not my family we are only going for a week, do you think we'll be pressed for time?

We've done 7 days before with 5 in the parks and a couple days at the water parks, downtown disney, boardwalk and it was still enjoyable. You can't see and do everything but we still managed to hit everything we really wanted to see. If it's the first trip for your friends you'll probably want to do some planning as to what you want to see & do.

We've done 6 days and 5 days. You may be a little spoiled, having the opportunity to spend that amount of time, but with planning we've found our trips totally satisfying. We did and saw plenty (no water parks though) and left happy and wanting to return. Our next trip is for 7 days. It would be nice to spend a little more time at the resort, maybe get up a little later in the day, but it did not alter our overall enjoyment of the trips. :)

When I go with my family, it's usually 6 or 7 nights but when I go with friends it's only 3 or 4 nights (long weekend). You have to set priorities. Like the last time we didn't go to Animal Kingdom, we didn't have many "must sees" there. Since we all go on separate trips with our families, we concentrated more on spending time together rather than seeing everything. We also split up one afternoon (4 of us, split 2 & 2) do some different things.

For the 2 trips we've had we've stayed for 7 days and found that it was enough to go to every park and still have some free time. This trip is for 11 days/10 nights-woo hoo! I'm actually worrying over how to plan for that much time!!!;)

Thanks guys! My one friend and my sister have been to WDW several times and as for the 4th person, we're still trying to find someone to go with us. That in some ways helps, we all know what the parks have to offer so it may make it easier when trying to decided what to do next. I'm getting so excited even though it's a ways away.

A flip side opinion: I used to go for two weeks at a clip, but after I talked my wife into joining me six years ago, we cut it back to one week (she can't get away more than a week at a time). I found I started enjoying my trips more. Personally, I think six to seven nights is about right. After that, I start getting tired and don't fully enjoy what I'm paying so much money for.

There are many that disagree with that opinion. But you just may find the 7 day adventure isn't a consession, it's a better way. Just one guy's opinion.

I'm with Pat on this one. Whether it's WDW or Las Vegas 6 or 7 nights works best for DW and I. Any less and I start to worry about having to leave shortly after we get there; any longer and the novelty of the vacation starts to wear thin.

6 or 7 days in vegas?!?!

holy cow after 2 nights i am ready to get out of there...

now WDW, on the other hand, we've always gone for 7 nights but this time we are going for 10...wooohooo

I can definitely see that. You see, the last time I went to WDW, I was 12 years old and couldn't get enough of it. I'm now 20 and might see things a little differently. Actually I was sort of afraid that it wouldn't be as magical. I went to Disneyland 3 years ago and didn't feel the spark that I remember having felt at age 12. Or perhaps that was because Disneyland is so different from WDW. Only a Disney fan would worry over these things, hahaha
