Hey all! Hopefully I'm posting this in the right place ;) welcome to my review of all the yummy food hubby and I ate on our honeymoon! This was some of the best food we have ever tried. We left our babies at home this time and prepared our selfs for an amazing trip. I should say that we were on the dining plan as well. :)

First day we arrived later in the day so we only ate one meal this day. Tonight was the coveted Be Our Guest, I was lucky enough to snag a reservation a few weeks prior to our trip, this was one of our favorite meals the whole trip.

First thing our server brought us was these delicious dinner rolls.

They were similar to a French bread

Then we ordered our beverages hubby and I both ordered beers, I also ordered an iced tea and hubby got a water

Hubby ordered the steak with the fries and it also came with green beans.

I also ordered the steak , but I ordered it with the au gratin Mac and cheese instead of the fries. Mine also came with the green beans

We both ordered our steaks medium rare and they were perfect! :cool1:
They were so tender and delicious. I loved the green beans, they were thin and cooked perfect. I didn't try the fries but they looked like average French fries.. The au gratin Mac and cheese was good but I thought it was a bit salty.

Now dessert time... My favorite part of the meal :)

First they brought out this

Grey stuff for our celebration, our waitress was so awesome and super friendly.

Hubby ordered the strawberry cupcake. This was excellent. I dont usually like strawberry but this cupcake was so so good.

I of course tried the grey stuff.

This dessert didn't disappoint! The bottom was a brownie like substance filled in a crispy chocolate shell , then of course topped with the delicious Oreo like icing and the crispy pearls on top. Yummy!

All in all I definitely recommend eating here! The food was all so good.

The first night we arrived it was really cold in Florida so they had these people set up everywhere selling hot chocolate in disney mugs! How can we say no to disney hot chocolate??

Plus it was in these awesome space mountain mugs, and only 5$

Well that's all for now, next review will be a food truck at our resort, Wolfgang puck express and Ohana! Thanks for reading so far

Thanks all! I always love dining reviews too!

The next morning we had breakfast at our resort, all star music. While the dining area is under a referb right now they have the old arcade area gutted and filled with grab and go items. It was actually a lot better than I had imagined it would be but there were no hot items. So while they are closed they have a food truck set up. We only ate from the truck for one breakfast, but let me tell you it was yummy! They had so,e sort of biscuit sandwiches, strawberry waffles and then these puppies

They were bacon, egg and cheese croissants
Hubby and I both ordered the same thing. They were so good!

We got to downtown disney before any shops had opened so we stopped into earl of sandwich for some coffee

It was pretty good. But I wanted for about 15 minutes just for two coffees :/

For lunch this day we were still at downtown disney, so we of course had Wolfgang puck. Like so many others have said I think this is the best counter service option available. We ended up eating here twice on our trip.

Hubby got cherry coke, one of the few places to actually have it! I drank the tropical or herbal tea, can't remember what it was called. It was fantastic.

I ordered the half rotisserie chicken with mash potatoes. The dark meat on the chicken was perfect but the breast meat was pretty dry. The mash potatoes were honestly the best mash potatoes I've ever tried. They were delicious. There was some sort of sauce over the chicken and potatoes but it was very light and buttery. Not heavy like a gravy. I could have just had the potatoes and been incredibly happy.

Hubby had the chicken meatball pizza, minus mushrooms and when it came out it was covered in onions which also were picked off. This pizza was so good too. The sauce was very light and tomato-y it was delicious. The crust was perfectly chewy and very fresh

For dessert I had the cheesecake, it had been creme brûléed on the top and covered with strawberries. Yum!

Hubby had the vanilla creme brûlée he said it was very good

Later in the day we headed to Hollywood studios, I had heard so much about the carrot cookie cake sandwiches so I had to stop and get one .

These have a lot of hype, and are said by many to be on the top five list of things you must try.. I wasn't very impressed. The cookie part is similar to a carrot cake batter, there were raisins in the batter as well. The filling was a cream cheese icing. I should stop and say that I'm a cake decorator so I am around sweets all the time so I'm sort of picky when it comes to desserts and it takes a lot to impress me. I thought this was to rich. If the inside icing was a whipped cream cheese I think I would have liked it better. It was just to heavy for my liking.

Ohana will be the next post!

Ok folks, this was the other meal of the trip I was so excited for. Ohana! I had never eaten here but always have wanted too. This was my first trip with out mommy and daddy so it was interesting doing all the planning by myself. I actually loved it! Kinda sad it's all over :( anyways back to Ohana... We were a bit early for our reservation but checked in early, it was about 15 minutes early. Of course the place was packed. We grabbed a seat just as wishes were starting at magic kingdom and we had a perfect view of them! We waited 20 minutes or so then were taken by our "cousin" to our table.

We started with the lettuce wraps.

While these were beautiful, I hate to admit that we didn't touch these... To much yucky stuff hubby and I don't like in them.. I wish they gave you an option to not get things because I feel bad for the wasted food...

Next was the pineapple coconut bread.

This had great flavor, but I think this piece was sitting out to long. It was very dry. I knew from reading food reviews to ask for the salad... So I did :) the server seemed incredibly annoyed by me asking but brought it out for us

This salad was the best salad I've ever tried... Ever! The dressing on it was so so yummy. I wanted to eat the whole bowl full. I don't know why they ever took this off the menu. If you go, request the salad!

We finally got our drinks, hubby ordered the blue mule. It was like a Moscow mule but with something blueberry in it. It was yummy

I ordered the lapu lapu, it has a rediculous amount of 151 rum in. But it was good

Next was the pot stickers and sticky wings!

The pot stickers were so yummy! The wings were good too but the pot stickers were better.

Then we got the veggies and noodles

The noodles were so dry we didn't eat more than a bite. I also didn't want to fill up on noodles, we haven't even gotten our meat yet! The veggies were good

The first meat we got was the pork. Our server, I think he hated us.... He brought us one piece...

It was yummy but I would have loved more than one piece :/

Next was the steak! It was cooked perfectly to a medium. Super tender and flavorful. This next picture shows you how much stuff we had on our table, they just kept bringing stuff out but not taking any of the plates away and we had a two person table so it was tiny!

Sorry for all the food on our dirty plates... Doesn't make for pretty food pictures..

Anyways here are the shrimp, I don't eat seafood so these stayed far away from me...

Hubby said they were yummy, he liked them better than the pork. He said they were cooked perfectly but under seasoned.

Now the final star of the show the bread pudding!

So so so yummy.. I was stuffed by this point but this bread pudding is so good. They pour on the caramel sauce for you when they bring it to the table. They use the left over pineapple coconut bread from the start of out dinner for this yummy treat. Yummy!!

Over all Ohana was fantastic! We would definitely eat here again!

Next update will be via Napoli and I believe cosmic rays :)

we went to Ohana this past May and it was definitely a DO AGAIN...I loved the pot stickers and wings...and then the veggies and the shrimp...all were so good..and then I do not like bread pudding ..but I tried this because my granddaughter said..try it..IT WAS DELICIOUS>.

thanks for your reviews

Great reviews! I would love to try Wolfgang Pucks Express but I'm not a fan of DTD

Just secured an ADR for Ohana last night after trying forever. It's the same night as our BOG one, so unless I keep stalking for one on the night before, I'll have to choose. My son LOVES all of the pictures of the food at Ohana and gets hungry every time I show him. That's his kind of food.

I love the bread pudding! It was really good. I didn't think it tasted like most bread pudding I had tried before, the pineapple coconut bread I think is what makes it so good. Oh and the caramel sauce... Can't really go wrong :)

You know with all the construction and stuff going on there I had heard unless you're taking a Disney bus to avoid it. We actually ended up visiting twice this trip, to DTD. The second time was basically to eat... Lol and to visit the few stores that we missed the first time. We had intentions to to to the other side the second time, but I had a huge blister on the bottom of my foot so we didn't make it far. Personally between pucks, earls and ghirideli- I know I spelled that wrong... It was worth it. Wait till I get to the ice cream... Oh man that thing was heavenly...

Oh man that's a hard choice.. They are both so good. I would just keep being persistent about checking. I would think you would have better luck switching your ohana. Seems like BOG are super hard to come by.. I'm not sure when your trip is but we were able to get our BOG reservation from a cancelation thread on here. I just kept watching and eventually we got one a few weeks before our trip. I was thrilled... I thought there would be no way we would be getting reservations. It was in the top two of our favorite meals. I would say it was my second favorite. Hubby says it was to loud in there. Lol

Keep it comming, now we have the story to go with all the pics you sent us:cool1:

My husband is the one who spotted the cart with the mugs, I think he couldn't believe it was so cheap. I didn't believe him when he said they were just like the resort mugs and only for 5$. Lol. We ended up buying two of these on separate nights. It was weirdly cold the first two days we were there. Actually it was colder in Florida then our home state Nebraska.... It warmed up later in our trip though! Thanks for reading!
