So, ever year or even twice a year you spend a week at WDW at your favorite DVC resort home away from home. What does a typical week look like for you?

Do you always do the same thing and/or is there at least one must do? What do you do at DVC-WDW in a week?

first of all - relax - you no longer need to go command style to WDW.

I only go to WDW every other day.

the other days I relax at the resort. read a book, go swimming, watch a movie - just relax.

Out of a week, we may hit the parks once, the waterparks twice and DTD each night. Since joining DVC our trip length has increased to about 2 weeks at a time.

Our typical week is sleeping in, watching movies or playing games and we always take a 1000 piece puzzle (Dh likes those but we all work on it). We mostly swim at night after everything else closes.

We do fun things, like fish, boat, walk, and ride the monorail for no reason.

We like to eat TS about 3 days out of that week and mostly eat Breakfast in our room, since we lollygag on our non park mornings. I don't mind cooking, because I am often too busy at home to cook the way I want to and I rarely make breakfast so for us, that is a treat.

We barely leave property except to go to US/IOA which we will not visit on future trips unless they get something really exciting that we want to try.

Our time at WDW is very leisurely and I love the uniterrupted family time we have. The days go by so quickly and we are never at a loss for things to do even when we are not in the parks.

We switch things around quite a bit. One year we'll make it a "just us" thing. The next year we'll bring adult friends with us. The next year we'll bring the kids. We never do the same thing twice in a row.

We go every other year, and have elementary age kids. That means each trip is different since the kids age. This year they were the "perfect" age for Tom Sawyer's Island, but we'd quite outgrown Small World (boring Mom!) and weren't yet up to Tower of Terror.

This year we discovered that when its "just us" we can get most of what we want to get done in about four fairly full days.

Musts - sit down dinners with drinks - now that the kids are old enough, one nice one (last time Flying Fish and Jiko - oh, was that two?). Pool time for the kids. I'll still make my son ride Peter Pan's flight with me when he is fifteen. Hope they never pull a Mr. Toad's on that.

Our typical trip is 10 days with guests either part or all of that time. When we have guests who are not park familiar, we will spend most days in the parks, but when it is "just us" we do a lot of resort hopping and check out lots of little nooks and crannies as well as shopping and walking and relaxing. Often we will go to a park just to see a parade or do a specific attraction. Often we will head to AK early to get the first Safari ride, do Lion King Festival and then head out.

Must do things are our favorites in every park, and dinner at our special favorite places. We MUST do at least two Tepanyaki dining room dinners and one Artist Point.

We have been going with our very good friends for two weeks each summer in a 2BR at OKW. The men golf, and golf, and golf :). The girls relax by the pool, read and talk. Sometimes we ride along with the men....the courses are beautiful. We do the parks when we feel like it, and we eat, eat, eat. We play cards, watch movies, and have a great relaxing two weeks with good friends. That is why DVC is special for us!

May ( BCV or BWV ) is for us DW and I, 8 nts We do the parks , resort hopping , maybe drive to the beach 1 day, DTD at nt and the F&GF at Epcot with the flower power concerts.

OCT we take family /5 st studios (BWV ) for F&WF, water parks,DTD, golf, maybe bar hope. With our AP's we can go to Epcot just to eat and leave.

I was wondering about AP's--do those of you who spend alot of time at the resorts get AP's ?

We like to ride the Monorail and go to the campground for s'mores and a campfire movies.
We don't usually do commando-maybe 1 or 2 commando days, but the rest is as others said-relaxing at pool, DTD, resort hopping. I love getting to know the new resorts, so I will always take a DVC tour, if there is something new to see.

Last year we went to Sea World-that was fun.

I usually go for 6 - 9 days ALONE at the end of each school year. (I teach). I do whatever I want, whenever I want. This past June I was there 7 nights and went to the parks 4 times, I think. I never stay more than 3 or 4 hours at a time. I eat great meals (thanks to DDE!), read alot by the pool, sleep late, wander the stores at DTD, and see a new movie or two. This was the trip I tried Cirque for the first time and got the DVC package at the SSR spa. It was wonderful. I liked being quiet and just doing as little or as much as I wanted. I also went alone for a weekend a month ago to the F&W Festival - I love the music as well as the food, so I try to do that each year. When I take my family and friends we tend to do more, especially if they haven't been before. I usually buy an AP. As far as must do's, I have a few favorites that I try to do each time, but I never "do it all" anymore. I know I will always be back, and I want to really relax and come home rested. DVC makes it possible.
