I've just been on the phone to Disney UK. The Cast Member that I could purchase the 7 Day Premium ticket and upgrade to non expiry when we arrive in Orlando is this correct? as we tickets left over from previous trips which we would like to use first.

Thank you

People have posted a mixed response about free DDP & tickets, some have managed to upgrade to AP, some changed to non expiry, others been told they couldn't do anything. Its down to the cast member you get, its possible but its finding someone that can do it for you.

yes you can upgrade a 7 day premium to non expiry, in the same way you can upgrade a MYW to non expiry. It's got nothing to do with free dining.

It becomes a 7 day hopper plus water park fun and more unless you choose to take the hopping and/or waterparks fun and more off. You can only take the hopping or waterparks off if you've not used either option.

there is a table which sets out the costs somewhere, but if you look on the Disney US site under tickets it's on there too.

Thank you.....I'm finally get to decide about our trip next year!!!..we have family from Canada that would like to join...I enquired if this was possible if we decide to book 2 studio rooms or a 2 bed villa.....that confirmed that was okay as long as the booking is made by someone who lives in the UK then it's no problem....

No need to decide between booking direct with Disney UK or Complete Orlando..

We had about 5 days left on our 14 day ones in October but they wouldn't let us upgrade them to no expiry. I think they are tougher on the 14 day tickets than 7 day tickets from what I have heard though - hope you can do it! :goodvibes

14 day tix can't be turned into non expiry but some have managed to turn them into AP's.
For 5 & 7 day tix there should be no problem, thread I was trying to find earlier, gives lots of ticket info but its from a few years ago so some could be old info.

again as Wayne says 2 different things.

Premiums (5/7) can be upgraded to non expiry up to a max of 10 main park days.

Ultimates (14 or 21) can only be upgraded to AP's. If you've used any of the plus options it has to be to a PAP though. If you're a DVC member this represents very good value because of the price they give for the ultimate and the $100? discount DVC get off the AP/PAP tickets.

Thanks for the referenced thread though Wayne. We're planning to be in Orlando offsite 3 days' before we check in to OKW and this confirms what I've been saying for some time, that you can get the tickets before check in day:thumbsup2 so is really useful for lots of us:thumbsup2

"I. Picking up Package Tickets Prior To Start Of Package

In cases where Walt Disney World Resort Guests would like to begin using their Package Tickets prior to the day of check-in (up to three days in advance), the Guests will be directed to visit any Theme Park Guest Relations location and request Early Ticket Pick-Up.

It is only valid for people with packages at a Walt Disney World owned and operated Resort. You can be staying off-property at the time you pick up the tickets. Note that if you have a package which includes Dining, although you can pick up your tickets early you cannot get access to the Dining until you have actually checked in to your Resort.

There is a possibility that if your package and the stay prior to the package are at the same Resort that you will be able to get the tickets at the Resort and not have to go to a Park Guest Relations Office.

And the tickets issued will be valid for the entire stay; they will not receive valid tickets when they actually check-in to their resort. There is a strong possibility that the tickets you have received prior to check-in cannot be added to your KTTW on or after check-in. "
