7 day Park hoppers valid day after arrival?

When I booked my package I assumed my tickets would start the day we arrived. After noticing the valid days starts the day after I tried to change them put it wants to charge me $120. I called and the gentleman I spoke with said to let them know when I check in that I would like to head to parks and it should be fine. Anyone else have issues like this and did it all work out ? MK has EMH from 11 pm to 1’am the day we arrive and want to take advantage of it !
 
That’s interesting. I booked a package and it starts the day I arrive. I’ve never ran into that issue
 
Any chance you booked through Costco? Someone else recently mentioned their tickets start the day after arrival, and they booked a package through Costco.

WDW package tickets should begin same day as check-in.
 

Did they book you for the same number of tickets as days you will be there? I've seen some packages that don't automatically do that, leaving you unable to visit the parks on your arriving and/or departing day(s), which I don't like. I mean sure, if I'm arriving at 11 pm or departing at 9 am, then I probably won't want to pay for a ticket for that day, but I want to always be able to decide that for myself. :)
 
I thought it was really weird too! We booked through southwest vacations.

It sounds to me like they booked your tickets to start the day after you arrive. I would call and find out. Whom did you speak to that said using your tickets on arrival day would be okay even though they don't start till the next day? Sometimes, unfortunately, the CMs aren't always right
 
I did - they told me I had to deal with Disney. It’s a bit unsettling. I will never book through SWV again.
Call again and hopefully get someone with better knowledge.

They are acting, in effect, as your agent (TA) in the booking.

They would have the ability to move your start-date on the ticket.
(It is likely that you might not be able to do that until your arrival.)

You can also upgrade by adding a day or more, but that would likely need to be done by you after arrival.

NOTE:
Can you currently "see" your ticket(s) in your MDX account?

Yes! I have had such a go around with everyone! SWV and then Disney. I’ll try again and maybe get a cast member who has maybe dealt with something like this.

Another note.
It is POSSIBLE that you do NOT have "package tickets" at all, but just regular stand-alone tickets PLUS a resort room-only reservation.
If this is the case, you should be able to change the "first use" date.

And, really, over all, even if you do have "package tickets" you are not attempting to use them "before check-in" so the start-date should not be too difficult to "move."
But, somebody has to actually DO that change-of-date.
