Hi all,

Pricing wise, on release day, how does a 7 night on Fantasy compare to a b2b (i.e. 7 nights) on the Dream? Would be tempted by two trips to CC. Anyone know how the prices usually compare?

Pros - 2 stops at CC, two pirate nights,

Cons - the hassle of changeover day, potentially more expensive?

You'll have to price out the two different options yourself. Sometimes the B2B will come in costing less, while other times the 7 night will be lower.

After pricing considerations, 2 stops to Nassau vs. 2 different islands. on a B2B you'd have 5 full days of vacationing vs. 6 full days on a Fantasy (excl. the Monday you'd have to get off and get back on- which isnt all that bad). No Remy dessert option, and different shows.. I have been on both ships and both itins. My recommend is that if you can get the B2B cheaper then do it

Here's a few questions:

Do want 7 nights of different menus or is 4 ok?
Do you want the same shows on both cruises or like 7 different performances?
They do play less movies in the theater, is that ok?
Do you mind not going to other ports?
More variety of games shows and activities on the 7 night, do you like those activities?

Reasons to do 3/4 day
If you are wanting to get to Gold or Platinum faster
Want the experience of B2B
Have time to relax and not worry about going to all the shows, but knowing you haven't missed anything
Don't care about destination
2 stops at CC
2 Pirate Nights

Reasons for 7 day
More menus
More variety of entertainment
More movies
No leaving the ship after 1st cruise
More ports

The cost should be relatively close, depending on the 7 day destinations and time of year. But most like, shouldn't be much of an issue. My recommendation, you can't lose! If it were me, I would do the 7 day IF at least one of the days is CC. I am just not a fan of all of the hustling everyone does on the 3/4 night cruises. A lot of people are just so bent on getting everything done and standing in every line. The 7 day just seems so much more relaxing after day 2 or 3. People really start enjoying themselves and relax a bit more. Just my opinion.

You know what, when you put it like that, I think I'll just go for the 7 day. Reading that reminds me of the hustle and bustle of my 4 night dream cruise.

Thanks for making my mind up :thanks:

If you can get the same stateroom for your B2B it would be a much better deal in terms of stress packing and unpacking.

I'm pondering the same things as possibilities for my birthday next summer (2016) and if I travel over my exact birthday, the 7-night comes in a whopping $3 less expensive. Considering that it would be the exact same itinerary as I'm doing in April, I'm personally leaning towards the B2B if I go with a DCL option over my exact birthday. For me, not only would there be 2 CC stops with one on my birthday (assuming all goes as planned), I would magically change from silver to gold in the short time I'm off the ship. :)

I think that is the right choice. I have done a 4/3 B2B on the Dream as well as a few Fantasy 7-nights, and I prefer the "legitimate" 7 night cruises more. Different menus, different shows, etc. All the things you've seen posted here. Formal night is also fun. The one thing I did like about the B2B was, since we had seen all the shows a few days earlier, we could take the normal show times and hang out at the pool, Aquaduck, etc. without there being hardly any crowds.
