I work at a Disney Store....this question has come up before on this board......and did again today at work. Here it is. Can you use a 7 day non-hopper pass to go to more than one park a day. It is cheaper than a 4 day with the hopper option. I thought the answer is no.....I still do. My Store Manager called WDW & was told that you can do it. Is this true? ::MinnieMo

I heard that it was one entry per calendar day, so no, there is no way to "hop" by using two entries on the same calendar day.

The crazy thing is we sell the tickets & WDW is telling us yes you can. The guest bought the tickets 7 day singles. I told them not to but they insisted they had called WDW. So the Store Manager said she would call the # we have.

Wow!!!

Has anyone called to double check this yet? I'd hate to be the one buying the 7 day base ticket thinking I can hop, and finding out AT wdw that this cannot be done. Let me tell you that manager would get a visit from me once I return from WDW.....

Well my manager told the women that we have been hearing yes & no on this issue... so she is just saying I do not know? So she said I will call & it's up to you to decide.

The ticket system is set up to reject a non-hopping ticket that is used at two different parks on the same day. That's the basis of the whole hopping vs non-hopping ticket. Otherwise why would they call it a non-hopping ticket? It would be a per park use ticket.

I think what they are wondering is, could they use a 7 day ticket, for only four days? Using two "days" for the first three days, and then one "day" on the fourth day?

Good question. I am interested in the answer!

No, that can't happen. If a person has a park hopping ticket and goes through the gates of a second (or third or fourth) park on a given day, the ticket is scanned and read as a park hopping ticket and the ticket lets the person through because it is "valid".

If a person does not have a park hopping ticket and tries to go through the gates of a second park on a given day, the ticket is scanned and read as a non-park hopping ticket and the person does not get through because the ticket is not valid for hopping.

How could they get through?-if hoppers and non-hoppers both get through the gates of a second park-then there is no need for a hopping vs non-hopping ticket. The system wouldn't read the ticket as "non-park hopping" but let the person in anyway and suddenly take a day off their ticket.

From allearsnet.com FAQ's
Am I allowed to use two days off of my MYW Base ticket (non-hopping) if I decide I want to go to a second park on the same day as the first?

No you are not. The tickets are sold and the computer system is based on the number of days you have, not the number of park visits. Once you have used a non-park hopping ticket at any park, the computer system will not let you use it at another park on the same day.

Just wondering, would this be the first time that your store manager got incorrect information from WDW by phone? ;)

Ncombs explained it very well. The ATS computer system that Disney uses will not allow a non-hopping ticket to enter more than one park on any one day. The answer is a definite no, it cannot be done.

But your customer won't totally lose out. They can add the PH option to the base ticket they bought for $35 + tax. :teeth:

I hope for the guest sake they can use the tickets...they are so happy to have figured this "Deal" out. It put's me in an awkward position....other guest have said the same & I tell them no. :sad2:
