Does anyone have experience buying 7-day Disneyland hopper tickets from Travel Centre in Canada? They appear to be a reputable company in Canada. I have contacted them and they say there are no residency requirements. They send you a voucher by email. Then present it to the Disneyland ticket booth with your ID to get the actual tickets. We have some half-days we want to do on the weekends to see the night shows and it would be great to have the extra days.

Just want to make sure that when you present your USA ID with 7-day hoppers that are only sold in Canada that it won't be a problem.....

They are a pretty big company up in canada...I have bought from them last time I went down, and no problems...then again I am canadian so this doesn't really answer your question if you can order from the states, but if they are sending you a coupon anyways I don't see it as an issue.

As an aside, you may want to ask about their 8 day passes, I hear they are the same price or cheaper.

I don't think anyone knows the answer :confused3 I would try emailing or calling Disneyland and asking if a PH bought in Canada can be used by an American.

Thanks for the info! I have just sent an email to Disneyland. If I get a response and/or we end up going ahead with this, I will post what happens. In the meantime, I would still love to hear from anyone else from the US who has used these tickets successfully or not.

Rune 74, thanks for the heads up about the 8-day. Might as well if they are the same price.....

popcorn:: Subscribing because I want to know the answer to this too. Are you ordering from a website? I want a 7 or 8 day pass since we're going for more than 6 days but don't think I want an AP this year since we're doing WDW next year and hate taking a day off from the parks I like just wandering in and out to do one or two rides since I've gotten spoiled with my AP the last several years.
On another thread I mentioned the other plan I was thinking of was buying them when I'm in Vancouver a few weeks before our DL visit since we're going on the Wonder Repo Cruise this fall and if I bought the tickets when I was physically in Canada, I shouldn't have a problem using them right? This made sense to me, but I'd like to know what the DL says ...

Taaren, I would call Flightcentre before you show up. When I bought my PH last week, I only got a receit, I won't get the PH voucher for a month. If you want to pick up the actual paperwork you might have to prepay for the PH and arrange to pick up the voucher while you are here in Vancouver. Flightcentre 1-877-967-5302

I originally saw the link from mousesavers.com which led me to flightcentre.ca. I clicked on "contact us" and asked about it. A rep emailed me within a day and said yes they can sell to me, there are no residency restrictions listed on the voucher (I asked her to confirm this and she said she contacted the wholesaler to confirm), she can arrange through email, vouchers would be sent by email and can be exchanged at the ticket booth at Disneyland. (Everything sounds good but I just want to make sure that when I get to the ticket booth, that Disney will truely accept them.)

She also said currently, the 8-day is the same price as the 7-day. Can't remember price off hand but reasonable. Only thing is the credit card will likely charge an exchange fee.

We purchased 7-day PHs from Flightcentre in 2009 with no problems. We reside in Texas, and we called and ordered from them. I don't think we got a voucher, but when we arrived in CA, we went to the ticket booth, showed our IDs (TX driver's license), and got our tickets completely hassle free. I know this is not a recent experience, but it worked in 2009. I found their customer service to be exceptional, so if you encountered a problem at the ticket booth, I'm sure you could resolve it quickly with a call to the customer service number.

Good luck!! :thumbsup2

Remember your dollar is worth less now as well.

Whoa.....I read this quick and read it as worthless :wizard: I have friends that are gold bugs that tell me this all the time so maybe it is what I expected to read:confused: I still like me some USD....now more than ever as CDN is $1.05....we get a 5% discount on everything:lmao:

Just checked the email for the price quoted from Flight Centre..... $207 (inc tax) CAD for adult 7or 8 day park hopper. According to "yahoo finance" conversion, it would be $218.61. $184 CAD for child. The credit card might have a different conversion rate based on the day and then also charge a conversion charge.

disneyland.com has the 6-day for $216 for adults.

Thanks Disney Princess! I am thinking this will probably work out.

Will wait a week to hear back from Disney, in case they changed something. (I would call but I have heard that the call center people really don't know about special circumstances and will just say it is not possible. It might happen that way on email too, but I usually get emails back from the same person who has been answering questions for years. Maybe she will know better??....)

If you get an email saying you can do this, I would print off a copy and bring it just incase. :goodvibes

Good idea! Since they are a reputable company, it seems they would need to work this out if we happen to have a problem once we get there....

Thanks!

By the time you pay either the banks the fee for the currency conversion for interac or cash, or, pay the credit card company fees, we receive only (estimate) 2 cents on every dollar which is great, but not as good as the 5 cents you mentioned. :)

Thanks!

just read it again and realized you meant email from Disney. Good advice, will bring emails from both companies, if I also get a yes from Disney....

Just called disneyland ticketing. They said yes, they will process the voucher if the travel company was willing to sell it to us in the US.

Good thing because now I have a leg injury so we will not be able to go full speed like usual!

We recently got back from Disneyland and it all worked as stated. The only problem we had was at the ticket booth for exchanging the voucher. The person couldn't find this type of ticket to exchange the voucher. After about 20 minutes, she finally tried looking in the Canadian screen. There she found this ticket type and all was good after that. (We ended up getting the Canadian 8 day since it was the same price as the Canadian 7 day.)

Thanks for reporting back! Recently saw a post from some Americans that one might be able to upgrade the DL online 6-days to an 8-day for about $10 but I don't know whether that's true ... with the 2% discount this might be a safer bet since its been tried and tested!
