7 day Alaskan cruise menus?

Trying to decide what dining rotation we’d prefer. We have seven days so twice at two MDRs and once at the other. Scott with DCLBlog recommended picking the menu I’d like least to cut out. Can anyone help me to figure out which menus are offered on the 7 day itinerary? I’ve read his trip report which is amazing but it’s for the 9 day so I don’t know if the menus would be the same. Thank you for any help!

On a 7 night cruise, typically, the first 3 nights each dining room serves it's own Signature menu. Then, one night all dining rooms serve the Frozen menu. The next three nights each dining room serves the same menu:
Animator's - Animation Magic; Triton's - Captain's Gala; Tiana's Place - Princess.

Everyone onboard will have the opportunity to dine from all the menus during a cruise (as long as you don't go to Palo, or Cabanas instead.

Personally I dislike Tiana's (I hate live music - it's just a thing) so I'd axe that. We found that Tiana's has 2 custom menus.

Scott has the personal navigator's from last year's Alaskan cruises. DCL doesn't change the menus very often. Look at a navigator from last year. It will show the names of each menu for each restaurant for each night.

This might be an oddball way to approach it, but that's just me. You might think of eating your big meal at noon either on the ship or in port (possibly on an excursion...they have great salmon) and make your dinner meal light...maybe just soup & salad. Perhaps you could also talk to your wait staff about having a special meal/menu on certain nights. The Alaska cruise is one of the best we have ever taken...lots to see, rain or not. Palo is also an option. Cruise on...

I'm not sure what you are trying to do exactly. You are talking about a 7 night cruise but indicate 2 of the MDRs you'll be in twice and one MDR once = 5 nights. While actually on a 7 night cruise, you are in 2 MDRs 3 times and one MDR twice. But, it doesn't really matter what rotation you are on, by the end of the cruise everyone will have had the same 7 menus - you just have them in a different order depending on your rotation. DCL doesn't repeat menus regardless of the # of nights you are on board (15 night cruises, we've had 15 different dinner menus)

One night our server brought several Indian dishes to us out of the blue. We didn't order it, he just wanted us to be aware that it was always available from the kitchen. There may be other options...I would ask for help from your servers if you want variety not on the menu.

I didn’t think of looking for the navigators at all - thank you!

You’re entirely right - I was reading the Unofficial Guide and thinking about dining rotations, talked to my husband (and daughter!) about it, posted here and THEN after PrincessShmoo posted, I realized I was thinking 5 dining nights instead of 7. 🤦🏽‍♀️ I’m so dumb...but I super appreciate all the help even with my bungle!
