Hello! Can people post their recent or upcoming experiences with 7 am magic mornings at Disneyland. Like what time you got there and what you did?

We will be there on a Sat in late October and are planning on getting to gates by 6:30, I don't think we could get there any earlier and it will likely be a bit of a struggle. How close to the rope do you need to be to do Peter Pan with less than 20 min wait? We are not aggressive people and have 3 kids under 8. In 4 years and 5 trips we haven't done PP yet. We could just focus on TL instead too, just trying to get a general idea what it's like for early mm. TIA!!!

Last time we did EMH was on December 28. Had two kids DD10 and niece 6(first time at DL). We did AIW, Teacups, Dumbo, Mr.Toad, Snow white, Pinocchio. Astro, star tours, Buzz. Finished by around 8:30. We did not do PP that morning because i wanted to make sure i did the others in case we for some reason weren't able to. We were staying at DLH at left around 6:30 stopped by starbucks and where in line by 6:40 am.

We walked during the whole thing entered the parks more like at 7:15. Took pictures here and there. It was a very relaxed pace. Niece is not fast walker at all.
Are you only there for one day?Is your priority to ride PP or do the most rides?

We will pick up something to eat at the gates. At 6:30 there will be several people already waiting but not usually crowded.

For Peter Pan with a less than 20 minute wait, you will need to be first inline at the gate.
One off to a side by the tunnels would help too. Read the board above the gate to be sure you're in a Magic Morning line.
Once through the gate your whole group will need to BOOK it straight to the ride and into line. I haven't seen Disney have the rope out for MM.
If you can stay ahead of the others heading to PP, you might have a 20minute or less wait.

Good Luck

There really are a lot of variables to consider. It’s best to have a plan but feel free to deviate as needed. You could show up and have a huge line at the gates or it could be empty. You could be in the front but still behind a horde that runs ahead to PP. Go ahead and try but if the line is huge by the time you get there walk on by. Do something else and try to fit it in later. It’s really not a bad line to wait in as it does move. The question is really about morale. My DS hates waiting so it’s not worth hearing him complain so I only try to do PP once per trip when the line is reasonable. If your kids would be antsy in the morning to do something skip the line and come back later when they are more willing to wait. My advice is gauge the line AND your kids when deciding.

we had a 7am MM on halloween last year, and it was pretty dead. We got pics at the pumpkin and the castle (a group of 8) without any other people in the background. I think we rode most (all?) of fantasyland.

.....you state you are not an aggressive person.......Peter Pan is not going to happen for you then.......you will have to walk faster than what you see the United Parcel Service walk.....you will have to understand the stroller bulge as you walk thru the castle....and then recognize what exactly is the line : is it open ? is it a direct walk on to the ship? Is the line long because the maze is not open? Is the maze open but it is taking some time to thread thru the maze, hence backing up folks down to the strollers, who are just arriving and cutting in front of you, after all their stroller was near the opening in the line first.....and then that child, who you asked repeatedly about using the bathroom.....needs to use the bathroom!!

So you've done this a time or two.... It's amazing the draw Peter Pan has!

We did PP at an 8:00 MM in June (Saturday). We were within the first dozen in our gate line. There WAS a rope (before the hub), and we were on it. We booked it to PP when the rope went down and managed to be in the first thirty in the line. It's easier if the ropes are per land rather than just the one by Plaza Inn because a) you're closer and b) fewer people can pass you getting to the queue. It's still a pretty intense, if brief, walk.

.....well.....it is the best attraction at Disneyland....has a fantasy of flying in the air.....the London graphics are clever.....we are all looking at the full moon....then all of a sudden grabbing the restraint bar when the wind blows.....and then ends in a very disappointing manner, but then Chickapin ends in a strange fashion also....all those animals....and I cannot understand the lyrics. AND...Peter Pan is the only attraction ..where strollers are part of the attraction!!!! and if it is a cloudy day, I ride Dumbo at dusk and watch the Peter Pan weather vane float in the sky.

But hey, If I waited 45 mins outside of the gates, what is 10 mins more.

Perfect! Thx for the info! I'm hoping it will be relatively quiet as there is a Halloween party the night before. We will play it by ear and gauge the line as we walk up. Can you tell if the maze is up easily? We can all walk fast but I don't want to start our trip feeling stressed or annoyed. I love Alice and Mr toad so can just go there if it's too nutty. I figured we'd park our stroller somewhere off main st, is there an area by Jolly Holiday? We mostly just need it for the walk back to the hotel.

Personally I don't care that much about PP, I did it 2 years ago at DW with a FP and was underwhelmed. Wind blowing? Didn't notice that but being above London was cool. My hubby and youngest haven't ever done PP so they want to. My priority for this trip is that my youngest is 40 inches, so focus on those rides! Yay, we can do so much more altogether!

There is the roped in chained off section in front of the wooden waiting area. On a good day there is no one waiting outside that area. On a bad day you will be hurrying there and pass a line of people going back toward the drawbridge. That’s when you want to just keep on going. Don’t feel stressed about it or let it affect your enjoyment of being there! Try to see if it works out first and if not come back. Even at the chain the line moves. That helps my kids. It’s not as quick moving as say Pirates but it’s not waiting for Soarin and just standing in place between showings. If you haven't spent much time there with the kids waiting in FL there’s lots to point out like the window opening across the way. I think you should do it but I’ve never been to WDW and still love PP, probably more than my kids. You can always designate one of you to get in line and one of you to park the stroller if necessary. If you wait for the one in line to get back on the side it’s pretty easy to enter the line. Picture the switchbacks and wait until they come back on the left side. I always see parties getting in line to catch someone so I wouldn’t think that would be a problem. I can’t remember if there is stroller parking at the hub before RP. It’s such a crush of people that I’m not sure about that but hopefully someone else can chime in if that’s an option before you get to PP.
