Hi! We have a 7 am breakfast at Chef Mickeys scheduled for a day we are going to MK. MK opens at 9 that day. If we are staying at Pop, can we drive to the MK parking lot, park there, and then ride the monorail from the TTC to the Contemporary? Does anyone know what time the TTC monorail begins running? Also what time does the MK parking lot open? If anyone has a better idea on how to do this, I'd love to hear it!

The easiest and least time-consuming way would be:
Taxi from Pop to CR for breakfast (yes it would cost a few $)
Walk to MK
Bus from MK to Pop

From what I know, there is no MK parking lot. I think there is one at the contemporary though.

Not sure about when the monorail runs, but you would need to park at the TTC and take the monorail to the Contemporary.

Or, you could take the a bus from POP to MK and you can walk from the bus stop. You could drive to DtD and catch a contemporary bus from there.

I have no idea which would be faster, but I would guess walking from the MK bus stops. You can also take the boat from TTC over to MK, maybe it runs earlier?

BTW we have had 7am breakfast ressies at Chef Mickeys on two different trips and cancelled both the night before...too early, we were all too tired. But we had eaten there already for dinner and lunch, so if you've never gone, I would make the effort.:goodvibes

Sorry I should have clarified. I know there's no MK parking lot, I was referring to the TTC parking lot. Does anyone know what time it opens on a non emh day?

I'm not sure, but usually park transportation starts running an hour before park opening. So if that's true, then that doesn't do you any good. You could drive to the Contemporary and park while eating (you get a parking pass for up to three hours to park and eat at resort restaurants I believe), and then move your car to the TTC lot afterwards. If MK opens at 9, then you should still have time to move your car and be there in time for opening.

Coming from Pop, it would probably be best to drive to the CR. DH and I have had trouble using Disney transportation to get to early ADRs before, and the 7am Chef Mickey's is the earliest you can get. Also be careful of the "Breakfast Bus." We waited and waited and waited for this and then ended up being late getting there.

Good luck!:goodvibes

It has been a few years since we have rented a car but we would just park at the CR eat and then walk to the MK. We stay on site and always had our resort pass in the window. Not sure if they have changed things now and really give you a three hour pass???

What we are doing is the night before we go to chef mickey's is to talk to our resort to see if they can have a bus or something running that early. We are staying at POFQ and trying to drive to mk is not a big deal, but taking a trolley to the monorail in enough time to get to chef mickey's might. We can't wait cause this will be dd 1st time to Disney and we can't wait.

Yes they do. Parking at MK resorts has become a big issue. Please abide by the rules so that guests paying to stay at MK resorts can find parking at their own hotel. My family and I have witnessed vehicles being towed from the lots at CR and Poly. Thanks!

at CR? Last year, we were meeting friends from Orlando at the Poly for breakfast. They were running late and so they came right to the resort and when they got to the gate, they gave them our conformation number, and asked how long before they had to move their car as we were going to MK after breakfast. They told her to Valet park, and she could stay all day. The biggest surprise is that it was $10.00, $2.00 LESS than MK parking. Of course, she woyuld have to tip when she got her car, but cheap for the added convenience of not having to move her car after breakfast.

Great idea! Can anyone else verify that valet parking is 4 all day?
