Right now we have a Grand Villa booked, for "Girls Week", in May. There are 9 of us going, but now two of them might not be going, so I am thinking of moving the other 7 of us down to a 2 Bedroom. Our sleeping arrangements will remain exactly the same, but I am worried about the rest of the space being enough for us all.

We are at OKW with the Grand Villa, but if I do the change, we would want to move to BCV or BWV (if we can even get one), so we have the closeness of Epcot! There would be pts left over, which we would use for the first nights stay (Sat.) to just get a Studio somewhere. A few of us are coming in the night prior and will need something, so the pts. woudlnt' be lost if we downgrade.

So, anyone have any experience with having 7 adults in a 2 bedroom!?

Hmmmm.... That is tough..... 3 bathrooms with 7 women or 2 bathrooms? :)

But being close to Jellyrolls on grirls weeken would be very nice!!

Enjoy your trip!

If your close girlfriends and don't mind sharing beds then I would go for it. Have a fun trip:yay:

I agree on the bathroom thing, but there is an error in the calculations. An OKW GV has 4 bathrooms, not 3. While I think the location would be great at BWV for your trip, the bed arrangement would not be for 7 adults, so I would either stick with the GV or get an OKW 2 bedroom for the extra space and real beds.

The way it is now, we would have 3 sharing the King room. 1 on the sleeper sofa. 3 in the Queen room and 2 in the Double room. The 2 from the double room are the two most likely not going. So, if we moved down to a two bedroom, the sleeping would stay the same.

If we stay in the Grand Villa though, we would be able to spread out sleeping wise, with two in the King (my sis and I), one on the sleeper and then the queen and double rooms would be shared by the other four...so basically everyone in their own bed (except sis and I).

But we don't care about being close in the Grand Villa.

It really does come down to the living space more than anything, will the 2 bedroom work when we are all together in the evening?

I would think there would be difficulty having 3 in the King. With 2 people less, you could all spread out a bit more. Just my opinion.

Also, the rooms in general are smaller at BWV and BCV than they are at OKW. Even going from OKW to BWV in the same size room you would be losing space. I would stick with OKW any time I had a large group.

Sure it could work.... 2 in the Queen and 2 in the Pulout Full/Queen in the Studio portion, 1 on the pullout in the common room and 2 in the King.

It would work!

I apologize for hijacking this thread but I did not know there are 4 bathrooms in an OKW GV. May I ask where the fourth is and if it is a full bathroom complete with shower?

There were 8 of us (all women) in a 2 BR at BWV a couple of years ago. We were there for a week and there were 2 fights and a couple of teary episodes. By the end of the trip, 2 were not speaking to each other. I don't know if it would have been better if we had more space.

Having seen the OKW GV this past Oct., I would say stay with it. There is enough space in the living room for all of you to gather whereas at BWV and BC it's a way smaller area. PLUS, the living room can be a real living room not someone's bedroom. In December I went with two friends who would not "hang out" in the living room because it was my bedroom. When we would enter the room, they headed right to the main bedroom. It was like pulling teeth to get them to sit in the LR (and it drove me crazy).

Stay with GV.

The BCV and BWV 2BRs are so much smaller than OKW 2BRs that if you really intend to go with a 2BR I would only do so at OKW. Aside from the bathroom issues others mentioned, the kitchen/dining/living rooms are so compact at BCV/BWV that I cannot imagine even 5 adults moving about freely without always bumping into each other -- it would drive me nuts after a day with 7! (I don't think you can even seat 7 at that cramped dining table.

On previous "all girls" trips I've been on, we've really enjoyed sitting in the living room chatting in the evening. Since no one was sleeping on the sofa bed, everyone could retire when they felt like it. Likewise, whoever was up first in the morning didn't have to worry about waking someone else. :surfweb:

I really think the GV is a far better option.

The 4th bathroom is in the hall between teh master and the livingroom, and it has a shower, but no tub.

It's also one of the cutests bathrooms in WDW!

I would not ask 1 adult, much less 2 to sleep on the full sized pull out in the second bedroom at BWV or BCV. I'd stick with the GV too, or as I suggested earlier, go with an OKW 2 bedroom for teh extra space.

It really depends. If you plan is to be out most of the time at the parks, pool, bars, restaurants, etc., a 2-br would probably be fine. It more of a place to just sleep in that case. Plus you are closer to the action at BWV if that is what you are looking for. If you think you will spend a lot of time hanging out and relaxing back at the room, then a GV might suit you better.

I think 7 in a 2-BR would be okay, but I'd stick with OKW. It's a lot more space, and you have the two queen beds in the studio.

We've done 6 adults in a 2 bdrm at SSR and still have the sofa sleep in the studio side empty. We've also had 8 adults in a 2 bdrm at OKW with no problems. Save the points for later if the two cancel.

The living area in BWV and BC are far too small for 7 adults to hang out. If you decide on the 2br stick with OKW.

I think that is what we are going to do, downgrade to a 2bed at OKW, then use the left over pts for our Friday night stay...we were all going to move to Pop Century for that, since the GV pts were very high for that last night.

I think that's a very good plan!
