This trip we are only going to MK one day. I currently have us at Ohana for bfast at 7:50 on March 7th, but now I'm doubting my plan. I'm thinking that will put us at the park as late as 9:30 for a 9 opening. That's only 30 minutes, but it's also 30 minutes where we could have already have Peter Pan FP in hand and a few rides under our belts.

Opinions? Keep it or skip it and be at the MK gates at 8:30 instead?? Last year we ate at the castle on our morning MK day and were already in the park when it opened. Loved getting so much done in the first hour.

We could go to Ohana for a late breakfast on one of our non park days if that changes your opinion.

TIA!

You would definitely be putting yourself behind the crowds, and the chance for a few rides without long lines or fastpasses. Plus, the monorail at the Grand Floridan will be packed at that time  If possible, I would definitely change your ressie to a non-park day. That way, you could relax (go later) and not be watching the time knowing what you were missing.;) Just my opinion :goodvibes

Absolutely have to agree with everything that the PP says. :thumbsup2

Call me crazy, but I like to get to a 9am opening about 9:10-9:15. The rush of people starts me out anxious :scared1: I did an 8am O'hana and we were at MK by about 9:20. It also depends on how you hit the monorail and if you have to wait. You could always check-in when they open at 7:30, and hopefully they would seat you immediately. I would make sure not to come right on time, because they back up fast...

We had a 7:50a adr at 'Ohana over the summer. I know we were sitting at our table and still eating when MK opened b/c I could see the small spray of fireworks they let off at the tail end of the welcome rope drop show. We weren't in any rush to leave so that definitely increased our dining time, but I think it was 9:30 or maybe even a little bit later when we were making our way past MK on the monorail. IMO -If being at rope drop and park opening is your priority- I'd drop this adr.

We recently had a 8AM reservation at Ohana and we entered Magic Kingdom by 9:30AM. We weren't in any rush, the breakfast was empty and we had a few characters come our table twice because there was hardly anyone there! We also went to the gift shop and bought a few things, went to take some photos and an ATM before gong to the monorail. Had we only done the breakfast, we would have been in MK by 9AM probably. I prefer getting there just after all the rope drop madness anyway but it's a personal decision.
