7:50 California Grill ADR - 8:00 Wishes

Can we step out to see Wishes or would that be rude?

We have dined at Ca Grill many times. Chances are about 95% that with a 7:50 ADR on a night with 8:00 Wishes, you will not be seated yet (people do not vacate tables before the fireworks). You will still be wating for your table so you can go out and watch Wishes. There is usually a mass exodus after the fireworks so you should be seated shortly after.

Even if by some miracle you are seated on or before your ADR there is absolutely no problem in stepping out to see Wishes. The waiters will actually tell you to do it! In the past we have gotten there early (so like 7:30 for a 7:50 ADR), grabbed a drink and went out for a prime spot on the balcony. You can tell the hostess where you will be and just come back in to be seated after the fireworks if you haven't been seated yet.

Definitely step out, our server held our mains and filled our champagne glasses and positively encouraged us to go out on the observation deck to see Wishes. It goes down as one of my favourite Disney moments - Watching Wishes from the top of the CR with a glass of Champagne!

If you should be seated before the fireworks go enjoy them. Both times I've eaten there the wait staff encouraged me to view the fireworks. I hope you enjoy CG as much as I do.
