7:40 pm at the coral reef???

Honestly, I think you'd be pushing it. A 7:40 reservation doesn't mean you'd be seated at 7:40. It's entirely possible that you may not even sit until 8:00. Add to that, it's probably close to 10 minute normal speed walk to get to World Showcase.

We had a 7:30pm reservation. Didn't get seated until 8pm and didn't get out until the show was over. Disappointed since it was our only chance to see Illuminations. Guess we'll just have to plan another trip!

We have eaten at Coral Reef at least 5 times and have never been seated at our ADR time. I would not count on making Illuminations but keep your fingers crossed.

We were there last week for a 7:40 ressie and when we checked in they said they were 30 min. behind ressie times. Once seated, we were there for 1 1/2 hrs. We checked in early and they said our wait was based on our ressie time and not when we arrived.

I really doubt you'll make it. Both Coral Reef and Le Cellier anything 7 or after is iffy for Illuminations in our experience. Most of our non-buffet TS meals were at least an hour and 15 minutes and some as long as 2 hours.

I would say no!

A few weeks ago we had a 6:45 ADR and we got to Illuminations just as it was starting.

The place was PACKED and our server was SLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The food was wonderful!!!

No way, you need to plan on a 30 minute (minimum) wait after your ADR before you are even seated.
