7.40 at Rose and Crowne

that is what we had...they told us to get 7pm to get outside table for fireworks... we had to stick w/7:40...and they have area roped off for viewing fireworks. We ate and stood in that area and watched...it was ok, but would have been better if we'd had the outside table!

so, just to clarify . . no matter where you end up sitting in the restaurant, there is a special area just for Rose and Crown patrons?

Even if I have to get up and move it will be nice to know I have a way to see Illuminations that night.

You get up and move if you are inside. This is very unknown for some reason. It's an excellent view.

Good luck on getting outside table.

We have a 7:20 reservation for R&C on October 9th. I also didn't realize they have an area we could stand in to watch Illuminations. So, I'm so pleased. I was just hoping to take a chance for an outside table. Does this mean we have no shot at an outside table since our reservation is for 7:20?

And thanks in advance for your help. Much appreciated! :thumbsup2

I had a 7:20 last year (May 2005). Arrived about 7:10 and requested an outside table. We had to wait until 8:00 but got it front and center.

I had a 7:20 in April 06, showed up about 7, got seated by 7:05 right on the water...waitress was awesome, offering to hold off on dessert so we could eat it while watching the fireworks.

We had a 7:30 on our last trip, but showed up at 7:00 & begged to wait for an outside table. They said they couldn't guarantee anything, but after 3 previous attempts in which we got an inside table--this time we got it. It was awesome, but don't let it ruin it for you if you don't get an outside table. Just go outside early to grab a spot to see the fireworks.

Good luck!

ok, need things explained very plainly. When you say "go outside" you mean to the special Rose and Crown area? So in other words, there is an area to stand to see them but it is not large enough for all of the Rose and Crown patrons? So a bit of a crowd? If we are partway through eating, they won't take our food away will they?

Can't quite imagine this set up have never really looked at the Rose and Crown before but everyone on these boards so highly recommends it!

We have 8:00 ADR's and know we'll probably get an inside table. My husband is in an ECV and I'm concerned that if it is standing room only, he won't be able to see over people. Should I try to switch to an earlier time, or has anyone been in this situation and they allowed them to angle to a better view?
