7/4 Deal - Upgrading park tix question - need a math wiz

I booked the 7/4 deal and when I booked I immediately upgraded my tix to 10 day - no exp - waterpark tix. (Figuring we would use 5 main park days and 2 water park this visit and then save the rest for 1 more future trip using the 5/2 strategy again) I have been reading on the boards now that it is best to use the tickets one time before doing an upgrade when you originally buy the tickets at a discount. So I guess I'm really asking if I should change my reservation back to only include only the 7 day base ticket that is being offered at the 4 day price, use them one day and then upgrade to the 10 day, no exp, wpf&m. If I do this, can someone tell me if it would be worthwhile (how much money would I save by doing this?) and how many waterpark entrances would I have by upgrading to the 10 day pass with no exp/wpf&m after using one day on my original 7 day base ticket? If I do change and upgrade after using one day, may I pay for the upgrade with a credit card or does it have to be cash? Thanks and I hope this one isn't too confusing!

If you have the 7/4 deal, stick with 10 day and all the extras. Someone on here gave me the advise, and I worked out all the math. They charge a certain amount to have non expiration. With this deal, you pay the 7 day chargefor non expiring instead of the 10. We saved several hundred dollars this way. Go online to WDW and play around with the bookings and you'll see. However, the waterpark and park hopper charge is the same no matter how many days.

I am not really familiar with the other stuff you are talking about.
