Scott and Michelle, my sons, 4 and 7, will be in the club and lab respectively. Although I expect the older son to go and hang out with the younger one from time to time. If they meet up and get along that would be great for us, more free adult time! (and them too).

We also signed up for the Cozumel Homes Dune Buggy Tour. Looks like it will be a lot of fun. We are a little concerned how the 4 year old will handle the long day but he can nap on the beach if he wants to.

We were confirmed for Captain Marvin's today, so it looks like we're definitely in!

We are also booked for the jeep tour in Cozumel. So..............see you there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Received email from Capt Marvins today confirming our reservation for the 1115 tour.

Also just received the excursion guide from Disney today in the mail. I guess the rest of you guy's will have received this already.

At this moment I don't think we are doing any other tours, but I guess that could change.

Just hope we receive our tickets in plenty of time, I was in a sweat last cruise about the delay in airmail getting to us with them.

Almost time to buy up the sun screen we will be needing.

Sounds like most of us are doing Captain Marvins. We got out confirmation the other day.

We don't have anything planned for the other stops.

Won't be long till we are packing and on the way.

We are also doing the Capt. Marvin's excursion. We booked the all day excursion, then changed our minds (we are bringing a 2 y/o)... decided it would be too much for him. This will leave more time to see some of Grand Cayman.

I have bumped into 3 people in the past few weeks who have told me that Xcaret in Cozumel is incredible and so fun. I'm thinking about booking this... anyone else heard anything about it?

We also received the info. for excursions along with a balance that we owe for the cruise - which we already paid. Did anyone else receive "the balance to be paid" letter?

Hey Mandy!

I've been to Xcaret twice but not on DCL. It was definitely a wonderful experience. The underground cave (fresh water) was really neat and there are many other things to do there. My second time there, our DDs did the dolphin experience. It is really neat. But......I think it is a lonnnnngggggg bus ride from the cruise, that is the only drawback. Any other ?s, just ask, I would be happy to help!!

Jlawall thanks so much for the info. I'd forgotten that I had read somewhere that it was a long ride to Xcaret. Maybe just a beach day... maybe Paradise Beach... do you have any suggestions on beaches? Thanks in advance.

Last year we did the Fury Catamaran excursion through DCL and we had fun but.....I wasn't impressed with the beach or the snorkeling. On this board, I've heard that the Paradise Beach is the place to see. We have signed up for the Jeep Tour b/c I've heard here that that is very fun. GL deciding!

Does anyone know if the beaches at Cozumel and Cayman are within walking distance?

On GC, as soon as you tender you will see many taxis around. They offer to take you to 7 mile beach which is right up the road. I'm not sure about Cozumel but I've heard that taking a taxi to Paradise Beach is a nice idea. There is shopping right when you get off the ship at both locations.

Thanks for that info, I'm not sure whether or not to use local taxis. I'll check the price of the DCL trips to the beaches, and then decide.

Usually, the DCL excursions are run nicely and the good ones fill up quickly. The local taxis are usually cheaper but you are on your own!

The shopping is good but not amazing in my opinion! In Cozumel, definitely bargin, you will do better. In GC, the shopping is just okay.

Anyone get their documents yet? If not, when can we expect them?

My daughter's would like to wear their denim skirts with nice shirts to dinner.... this would be appropriate wouldn't it?

Your daughters will be fine in a denim skirt and nice top. My son usually wears nice pants and a polo shirt. Some people dress their kids up to the hilt but I can't see us doing that.
