We have a 7:30 am ADR for the Wave on Friday 11/4. MK opens at 9:00 am and we plan to hit it right away after breakfast, so we'd plan to walk from the Contemporary. We're staying offsite at Bonnet Creek and will have a car (and have AP free parking). So, if we park at the TTC will we have a way to get over to the Contemporary around 7:00? Or should we valet at Contemporary? (if so, what is the price?) Or should we just Uber that day?

I believe the resort monorail starts running at 7am. If thats the case, you can take the monorail. Someone correct me if im wrong about the hours though??? Pretty sure its 7am.

The TTC is usually open pretty early (we've gotten there as early as 6:45 am for a 9am opening a few years ago), but I'd personally take an Uber. On our last trip, we got stuck in the mass exodus leaving the MK one night and monorails were down. Our car was at the Epcot parking lot, so we decided to walk over to Contemporary and get an Uber. It was like an angel had appeared! From that moment on, we relied on Uber when we were in a jam, and one morning we had breakfast reservations at Grand Floridian, but were staying at Saratoga Springs, so we took an Uber that morning. Super-easy and hassle-free!!!

We had an ADR at the grand Floridian last week. We were able to valet there for free. I didn't ask, they just offered when we told them why we're there. Free valet?!? My sis was in the car and she told the attendant "you had my bro in law at free, you had my sis at valet!" Lol.

We valeted when we had an ADR at Chef Mickey. The valet price has increased since last summer when we did it, it is now $25 I believe (plus tip). We parked early in the morning and picked up the car earlier in the morning the next day (8am-1am) and we loved it. We ended up taking the monorail both ways from the Contemporary/to the Contemporary (no, it may not have been the quickest but it was part of the experience for us) and getting back at the end of our day was no crowds at all (probably because of how late we stayed).

Thanks guys! So it sounds like we might want to lean toward the valet option. If we valet in the morning and leave the park and then go back to MK in the evening, would we be able to use valet again at the Contemporary without paying again? The prospect of not messing with the TTC at park close is really appealing!

Yes! You can use in and out privileges each time you want to move your car for the day. Usually people tip each time they go in and out. If I am not mistaken, you show them your current valet receipt when you return. I believe you can also hop resorts with your valet receipt, so it would be ok to use it at Boardwalk during that same day for example. Though it has been a while ...

I think this will be the winner, then! Thanks so much everyone!

Just to let you know, we were at the Contemporary for breakfast once and they were telling guests they could not valet park unless they were staying at the resort. They were stopping every car that came into the resort and had security at the card entrance as well. The line of cars was all the way around the corner and on road coming into the MK.

Good to know, thanks!

I guess we just got lucky with the free valet at the Grand Floridian.

I'm guessing day of the week and time of the year, and even time of day probably all go into the equation. And a little pixie dust for you guys!

Interesting, I've never had that issue and we've done Valet and regular parking at the Contemporary when we have had ADRs at The Wave before park opening.

At every resort, we had to say that we had an ADR at such and such restaurant. I would imagine the Contemporary is extra strict due to the proximity to Magic Kingdom and people choosing to park there instead of the TTC. As long as you have an ADR though, you are fine.

Kristin,

I hear this guy works the valet parking in the mornings at the Contemporary and waits tables at night....

We have done this but it definitely depends on the time of the year. A few years ago we went twice in one visit (11th and 26th December). We left it all day on 11th but on 26th security gave us a time limit for parking with an ADR and we were staying on site at OKW. May depend on the guy at the front on the day.
