first of all, sorry this came so late. I have been super busy with basketball and student council. plus, school started today so I haven't had much time. but here it goes....

We woke up Monday morning around the same time as yesterday. I woke up early at about 8:30 because I wanted to run on Deck 4. It was great. It was hot, but not terrible, there weren't too many people, and it was great running around and seeing the ocean. Plus, they store all the ropes on deck 4, which are really neat to see. After running, I was pretty tired, so I went up to deck 9, got some water and relaxed for a little bit. It was only 9:30 but already it was rocking!! From there, I went to the room, took a shower, got dressed, and woke up my brother. He and I then went to breakfast and from there went to Common Grounds to start a fun filled day. The sea days are a lot of fun because it's a lot of fun to stay on the ship and practically hang out at common grounds with all the kids all day. Also, today was the day that Gotcha was played. I don't remember if I explained it or not, but Gotcha is a game where every picks nicknames and is then assigned to "kill" someone. I remember I played it last year, but I was so involved in the activities and with the friends that I didn't want to play. They planned a lot of stuff for us to do, so it made the day really fun. One of the things I personally enjoyed was the animation cells. We drew a Disney character, and then painted it and it turned out great. It looked so good, and I am definitely not an artist. I personally thought the best part of the day was being able to relax all day and hang out at common grounds. I love going to new ports, but sometimes it's fun to be able to stay on the ship all day and not have to worry about getting off. So that's what I did all day. That night we were supposed to have dinner at Parrot Cay. My parents and grandparents decided to go to Palo that night, so that left my brother and I alone. We decided to go to dinner, and one of our friends came along with us. It was so much fun to go to dinner with just three people and have no adults. I think the servers really got a kick out of us going. Also, that night was the semi-formal night. It was so incredible to see the entire dressing room dressed in basically black. Not everyone did it, my brother and i just wore our collared shirts and slacks. I didn't feel out of place, like there were a lot of people dressed up, but it's not like we were the only ones. For dinner I got the grouper and then for dessert I had the pecan pie. Of course the dinner was good, but I would have to say it was not one of the best. After dinner, we got pictures of us all decked out. They came out great!! We got them taken by a counselor in front of the smoke stack with the Mickey ears. It was a great setting. I suggest using that back drop for a picture. From there, I changed and then we went to the show, which was Hercules the Muse-ical. Once again, it was just me, my bro, and our friend. I loved the show!!! I thought it was the best ones. All the jokes were great. Of course some of them were a little corny, but that made them more hilarious. And I was suprised, some of the jokes were not geared for little kids. There was nothing bad that was said, but for example they quoted Nelly's "it's getting hot in herre" when Hades came out. I didnt think a lot of the younger kids would get that. But kudos to Hades and his two assistans, Pain and Panic. They MADE the show, they had the best lines. So I really suggest seeing it even if you already have because a lot of the lines are different. After that, we hung out at common grounds a little and from there we went to see Pirates of the Caribbean. What a movie!!! It was one of the only movies where after seeing it I wanted to see it again. I thought it was done great and that Johnny Depp was perfect for his role. But I would suggest seeing it. While we were there, I think at common grounds had a pool party. We missed that, but the movie was worth it. Later on that night we were in common grounds until it closed and from there we talked late into the night/early morning. Tomorrow is Grand Cayman!

Lance, great reviews, I was on the same cruise and you are bringing back good memories...

thanks....if you feel I ever leave something out please let me know or add it!!!

Hi Lancerguys!

I've been enjoying reading about your cruise because we're taking our 2 sons on a Disney cruise next year, and they'll be 16 and 13 when we cruise. I'm wondering if you noticed whether ALL the teens seemed to be enjoying the cruise. I know that people of any age can have all different kinds of interests, some love sports, some don't care for it, some are more athletic, some aren't. Did you happen to notice any kids who didn't seem to be enjoying the cruise? My fear is that my sons will be on the ship for a whole week and not make any friends to hang out with. They are great kids, very friendly, smart, etc but they're not into team sports (although they love playing sports for the fun of it). They can be shy if they don't know anyone at first. I'm hoping that the counselors onboard the ship will be able to get ALL the kids involved. Thanks for any info, and looking forward to your next reviews! :)

SeaSpray...thanks, I'm glad you are enjoying them. I hope they help. ok, don't worry at all!!! your sons will have a great time. there were 200 kids ages 13-17 when I went. the majority was definitely 15-16. it was so much fun. everyone is really nice and welcoming. just let them know that they cannot be shy. they have to make the effort to make friends because if you have friends, then it makes it even better. the first night they have the 411, which welcomes everyone and they say all the rules. everyone goes to that!! you don't want to miss out on it. after they say all the rules, everyone divides up into two groups and we do different icebreakers to get to know everyone. from there, there are tons of opportunities throughtout the entire trip to make friends. I won't get too detailed here, but if you want, just PM me and I will tell you anything you need!

Thanks Lancerguys! If I can think of specific questions I will PM you :) My DSs aren't overly shy, and I do think they'll be fine once they get to Common Grounds and meet the other kids. I know the Magic is going into dry dock soon, and Common Grounds won't be the teen lounge anymore. I wonder if they'll rename the ESPN lounge and call it Common Grounds, and change the name of the old Common Grounds to something else? Well at least I have a year to find out about the new changes. Thanks again for your reviews, it's great to see it from teen boys' perspective!

By the way, I just looked at your bio, and you guys are exactly 1 day younger than my DS15, his birthday is 3/23/88

What a coincidence!! Anyway, feel free to PM. But, like you already know, they are moving Common Grounds from where it is to the ESPN Skybox and they are making Common Grounds a gourmet-coffee place. Then, they are moving ESPN down to deck 3 where I think Sessions is and making it a Cheers-type sports bar. I know that the new common grounds is going to be called Stacks because it's in the pseudo-smoke stack and it is going to be a warehouse type theme. But that's all I know. Knowing Disney, it will be great

Hey, I've been reading your reports and they're great! I am a teen and (in exactly 26 days) I will be going on the same cruise you did. I went on the 3 day Wonder 2 years ago and it was just too short! i can't wait for this next cruise! LOL!

Another good post.

Write another when you get a chance.
