We will be cruising for the first time on July 19...so far, it looks like we will be the only ones on the boat! No one has joined our links on any other site either! Anyone...anyone...anyone?

We'll be there:) My hubby and I are treating my "niece" (BFF's daughter) as a graduation gift. She's never been. My hubby and I went last Sept. on the Wonder for our 25th anniv. and renewed our vows in Nassau. After that first cruise, I was HOOKED! Disney does everything right!

Woo! I am so excited to "meet" someone who will be on our cruise. We got our stateroom number last week: 6538. We also got our cruise/transfer documents and luggage tags in the mail on Monday. I have about 5 lists going right now. Any tips for us? We are flying into Sanford the night before and we will be staying at the Raddisson, although after reading some of these threads, I am worried about the stay. I'm sure we will be fine :goodvibes
What are some of your onboard plans?

We just booked!!!!

Is this the only thread for this sailing????

It will be me, my mom, and my two girls.

The husbands are staying home!!!!!!

We are keeping it a surprise from the kids. We are going to pretend we are going to the beach that day, since the beach we go to is the same direction.
We did this last time, we hid the suitcases in the car the night before and we got ready like we were going to the beach, but instead of going straight to
A1A, we turned at the cruise terminal!!

All my daughter has talked about is the Disney channel sailing, how lucky that we booked a cruise that features Jackson and Oliver from Hannah Montana, the Camp Rock girl and the girl from High School musical!!!

I will be taking my own blowdryer this time b/c the ones in the staterooms were too low wattage for me:) I'm also bringing my own float for Castaway Cay. As for onboard plans...we saw Toy Story the Musical last time, so this time I want to see Disney Dreams. My hubby and I are going to dress as pirates this time for the Pirates IN the Caribbean party. So many people wore costumes on our first cruise, we thought it would be fun:) Don't know if you already know but they have knock-off designer purses at the straw market in Nassau, in case you want to bring some extra spending money for that. We booked our cruise kind of late and they told us they would assign our stateroom, but we rec'd some paperwork that said Stateroom #5136. If I think of anything else, I'll post again. I'll be glad to answer any ?'s you have if I can. What state are your coming from? We live in NC.

That is awesome that you are surprising the kids!! Can't imagine the looks on their faces:)

We are coming from Missouri. This is our first family vacation, ever. My husband and I never even took a honeymoon because he was working in a show at the time. So, what kind of float for CC? I didn't even know you could do that. We will see all the shows, that's a priority for us. My kids have pirate Mickey ears, but other than that I'm not sure what to do for us grown ups as far as dressing up goes. What are you going to do?

Have you ever been on a cruise with the Disney Channel stars? We have not even told the girls who will be on the ship. We are big Hannah Montana fans, so Mitchell Musso and Jason Earles are quite the big deal to us.

Well, you don't have to book the floats ahead of time, you can rent them right on the beach. After 2pm-ish, people start leaving to go back to the ship. So you will find tons of abandoned floats laying on the beach. We haven't paid for a float for most of our cruises.

Since we live near the beach, for our girls CC isn't that big of a deal. So we don't usually go to CC until 1-2pm. We like to stay on the ship and use the pool. The pool is literally empty so we get a late breakfast, take it to the Mickey Pool and eat while the kids swim.

for the shows: If you get to the theater about 30 minutes prior to the Golden Mickey's, there is a cast member (dressed in white) who is looking for 7 kids around ages 5-10 to be on stage during the show. Find the cast member and ask if you kids can be in the show.

They also have an interviewer (Like a Joan Rivers type) interviewing the kids. It is located right in front of the theater. That happens the 30 minutes prior to the show.

A lot of adults dress up for Pirate night. My kids do, but I don't. It's about 30% of adults dress up. At the restaurant, they give you pirate bandanas to wear and keep.

hi dance teacher, i am just bringing my own donut float that i bought at walmart. the floats at cast cay were a little bigger than i like. for my pirate costume, i'm just wearing a long black skirt, white peasant top, big scarf tied around my waist (like a pirate wench) and i'll wear my own bandana and lots of beads. i had read on one of the dis boards that they no longer give the bandanas out on pirate night, so i'm going to bring my own. they'll also have some pirate items for sale on pirate night in one of the gift shops.

What a slow thread!!! only 2 days and no posts!!!????

I'm just starting to pack now. The kids are packed and ready to go!!:cool1:

I will be on this cruise, with DD and DMIL. We booked really late and feel fortunate to get a spot. It will be our third Wonder cruise in 10 months. We are coming from Western NC. Looking forward to the beach.
