As for London, all I know about Portebello road is the song:rolleyes1

What is B&Q?
I was wondering about Portebello also. I just know it as a mushroom!

So what are your Halloween plans? I will take the girls trick or treating, and then we are going to the Cathedral of St John the Divine for a spooky showing of the old silent film "Phantom of the Opera" with live organ accompaniment, followed by the procession of the ghouls -- we have done this other years and it is very cool.

More info and photos here:

http://gonyc.about.com/od/halloween/p/halloweenstjohn.htm

The Halloween Extravaganza and Procession of Ghouls takes place every year at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine on Manhattan's Upper West Side. The annual Halloween celebration has become a New York institution, providing Halloween entertainment for a myriad of costume-clad New Yorkers. The evening's entertainment begins with a screening of a classic horror film. In 2004, they showed the 1920 silent film The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari and in 2005, they showed the 1928 version of The Phantom of the Opera starring Lon Chaney. Cathedral Organist Timothy Brumfield provides an eerie soundtrack for this haunting classic film. This is the perfect atmosphere for seeing this film, but make sure you arrive early enough to sit close to the front -- the storyline is often conveyed through hand-written notes contained in the film which are difficult to read from a great distance. The Cathedral truly embodies the spirit of Halloween, with dim lighting and a ghostly feeling created by the organ music.

Following the movie, The Grand Procession of the Ghouls begins, again accompanied by the Cathedral's outstanding organist. Ralph Lee, who created New York City's Halloween Parade, stages an impressive parade of ghoulish characters who slowly work their way down the center aisle, often interacting with audience members. The costumes are impressive and the ghouls stay perfectly in character, which makes for an enjoying experience for young and old alike.
That sounds really cool! My girls would NEVER go for it though! They are not the scary type! Kathryn freaks and won't go in the Halloween costume stores.
Alana has her Homecoming game tonight, so she'll be playing with the marching band. I'm taking Kathryn to the local mall to trick or treat. Maybe around the neighborhood too. It was raining most of the day, but has stopped for now. We may head over to the game afterwards. Andrew will go to the game after he gets off work.
Okay I will give it a shot!:thumbsup2

WOW, that is really cool! I'm very impressed!

Talking of biscuits it's just reminded me....Carolyn I had digestives again today....only 3 of them as that's all that left in the packet :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I'm guessing they were either plain or chocolate, so no picture needed!

Ok so it's getting dark so I'm going to see if I can leave and get home soon. Josh has gone to a friends house for dinner and some T ot T and Ethan is going to play at being a statue in front of our house (something that he's actually very good at) and frighten people as they go past.

Other than that we've got no real plans for the weekend, other than Paul working of course.

What's everone else doing this weekend ??
We're hoping to drive up to Mt Rainier tomorrow. It should be very pretty up there with the trees changing color.

Cadbury made in China, that is the worst thing I've ever heard. The best Cadbury is made in England. :thumbsup2 The stuff made in Australia is not as good as what's made in England, but it's much better than what's made here.

You have one of the good houses to TorT at. Good candy. :thumbsup2

You obviously haven't been to England lately and been to Woolworth's. They still have them over there.

Wait Wait as soon as the kids get back from Trick or Treating I will head to the Airport Fuel up the Private Jet & shoot off to Merry Old London Town!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl:

Right! Now where have you been hiding the Kool Aid? Huh Huh?:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Welcome aboard!

The only reason that I'm glad it's not 2010 yet is because I'll need the 2 years to pay for this vacation.
