We vote on Saturday on our new contract! It needs 50% +1 to pass. Reading comments on our local news site, I think it's going to be close. If it passes we go back to work on Monday! Everybody keep everything crossed, please! From what I've seen, it looks pretty good. 4 year contract, bonus every year, pay increase every year, no change to our medical insurance, a bit better pension. On the outsourcing, it looks like both sides gave in a little. Vendors would deliver the parts to the receiving areas of the factories, union members would deliver them from there. My job would be protected (at least from the outsourcing) for the life of this contract. That's not to say we couldn't be laid off for other reasons.

Hope it works out the way you want Carolyn :goodvibes :goodvibes

Morning Sallie....it snowed here last night and my feet are still thawing out !!!!!

New question:

What is something that you have not done yet on a DCL cruise, but hope to do on our Baltic Ballyhoo trip?

IF YOU CAN TAKE THE DISNEY MAGIC TO ANY PORT WHERE WOULD YOU GO,[/U]

Myself it would be Australia, with Sydney and then if possible up towards the great Barrier, reef, during the winter months here.

The Greek Islands - just a slow, non rushed, tons of time, overnight stops- the Greek Islands !!!

Forget snow in the north we had snow in North London last night
I had to scrape 3 inches of snow off my car this morning, first time it's snowed in London in October since 1934. I'll post pictures later when I get home

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
I like snow, the first time- if its a big storm and I dont have to work, there is no wind, and my neighborhood looks like a scene out of Dickens- beyond that the older I get the more I hate it after the initial....... oooooo!!!!!!!

Hey Sallie....how's your back and your throat ??

As for dressing up for Halloween....ABSOLUTELY NO WAY ARE YOU GOING TO GET ME TO DRESS UP !!! as for Paul and the boys well as you already know that's a whole different ball game :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

IF YOU CAN TAKE THE DISNEY MAGIC TO ANY PORT WHERE WOULD YOU GO,

Round trip out of Sydney or Brisbane with stops in Hong Kong and Tokyo so I can visit those Disney parks since I haven't been to either. :yay:

I had a few spare minutes and thought I'd catch up. Wow! You all have been very chatty the last couple of days!! I think I'm going to need an entire day to catch up on the posts!

It's freezing cold here today too. The Halloween parade our boy's football teams were supposed to be in last night was cancelled due to the cold/wind/possible rain. DS7's team finished up their season this past Sunday, but DS11's team has 4 more weekends of playoffs/championships. His team is 9-0 and ranked 1st so I'm sure they will continue each week. Every night it's colder and darker at practice. I never thought I'd say I wished it was wrestling season, but at least we're in a dry, warm gym all day for those practices/meets.

Have we officially decided on a cruise thread title yet?

If there are any cruise meet members not yet listed on post 1, please PM me your information and I'll be glad to add it.

I'm going to be gready and say a complete round the world trip that lasts for a year !!!!!!!

That's not being greedy at all, just wishful thinking. But if they offered this cruise I would want to be on it too. :flower3:
Wouldn't want to see the stateroom bill at the end of this trip tho. :scared1: :scared1:   :scared:  :faint: :faint:

I know, I know. We don't actually have weather here. We hear terms like "fall" and read about leaves changing color, but we know it's probably fiction. We do know about snow - it's the white stuff you ski on at resorts - most of it artificial I believe.

We do have two seasons though. There's the wet season (three weeks randomly selected between November and April), and there's the fire season - when everything that hasn't burned in the past 10 years goes up in smoke.

I do love California though....:cool2:

The weather is the one thing I don't like about our area.....one of these days, I'd like to relocate somewhere south.........

Well, I guess my first choice would be the South Pacific Islands and/or Hawaii.:yay:
