There is a Hundred Acre Wood 'attraction' that my friends have been to. It's north of London up towards the midlands if I recall correctly. My friends lived in the midlands area and it was about an hour or 2 drive for them.

Izzi....Andrew.....am I telling him correctly or has my mind gone totally bonkers?!?
Honey, can we PLEEAASE go there? I'll let you steal pirates and not get pouty over it!

YOu did read this on DCL's site. I don't think they said which port it was, but it was in the little info teaser or on the webcast for the official announcement.
My thought is that it could be at Schwerin Castle near Warnemunde.
There's also a medievil castle in Tallinn that they could use as a venue, although it is more primitive than Schwerin Castle.
I was thinking it was a castle in Tallinn, but am not positive. :confused3

I hope the 'biscuit of the day' is something different. I like it when you post the pics, although it does make me hungry.
:)

I got a magazine a few weeks back that I just found while cleaning. Its the The AMEX Membership Rewards
Magazine VOYAGES by Regent Cruses Vol.3 Issue # Sept. 2008. It has a big section devoted to Baltic Cruises. I will try to read up and post any information I find useful- It looks really informative:thumbsup2

Yes, we certainly did! It actually brought tears to my eyes seeing the original Pooh and his friends.
We shall even go the The Poohsticks Bridge and play Poohsticks!

For our friends on the Eastern Side of the Atlantic, where is the area that A.A. Milne wrote about in his Winnie-the-Pooh books? As you might have already gathered, my darling wife is a fan of the main character and has wanted to see if she can find some of the places (Gallion's Leap??).

Actually Ashdown is in Kent which is "The Garden of England" and is in the southeast of the country. Ashdown would be very near Andrew so I'm sure he wouldn't mind you arriving on his doorstep with your suitcases :rotfl: :rotfl: :lmao: :lmao: :rolleyes1 :headache:

Morning Robert I assume what they mean is if you book with a private tour guide, the tour guide will include in the price of the tour the cost of a visa that covers your entire party(if they're any good). I know that the tour guide I've approached to put a 2 day tour around St. P main sites, flea market and Jewish quarter is including the visa as part of the deal.

The blanket visa is one that is 'issued' when you book a tour thru the cruiseline or thru a gov't approved tour company. The only thing you need to do is to provide your passport info and you are all set. There is nothing else for you to do online or otherwise.
We provided Anastasia with our passport info and she registered them and we were sent our tour tickets which we then showed to the immigration officials and they stamped our passports and we were let into the country. We also had to give the officials a photocopy of our passport.

Also, the blanket visa is one that is 'issued' to cruiseline passengers that will be in the country for less than 72 hours. Which is another reason why your tour operator, either private or thru the cruiseline, can grant this to you.

I knew you would be able to give better directions than I could.

How far is this from Dover?

It's about 70 miles from Dover to Hartfield village which is where you need to head to. Driving that would probably take about 1 1/2 hours
