I got a magazine a few weeks back that I just found while cleaning. Its the The AMEX Membership Rewards
Magazine VOYAGES by Regent Cruses Vol.3 Issue # Sept. 2008. It has a big section devoted to Baltic Cruises. I will try to read up and post any information I find useful- It looks really informative

DD & I have been out helping the economy this afternoon. By the looks of everyone out they were all helping it as well. You would have thought it was the week before Christmas the way people were buying stuff.

I know about the sport, but I do not watch it, never have. In fact most professional sports I find extremely boring.

YOu sound like my DH, he doesn't follow sports at all and never has.
Now DD & I, we will sit and watch football and baseball - we are watching the Steelers game now. I also like to watch hockey sometimes.

Quit reading that rubbish! We really only needed an umbrella 1 day and that was the 2nd day in StP and by the time we came out of the Hermitage it had pretty much stopped, but remained grey and cool. That was really they only day we needed a jacket. We had real spring weather, it was really nice. What was even better was getting away from the humidity and haziness that was at home.

I spoke with a father at while waiting at dd's dance class a couple of weeks ago and he had done a Baltic cruise. He said that the wether was very nice and not as cold as he expected it to be. So think optomistic! The weather is going to be great and we are going to have a great time!

I can't get any info on this site, it keeps saying 'be the first to post a review of this port'.

For St. Petersburg if you go with a cruise tour or an organized tour with a recognized Russian tour company a blanket visa will be included in your our pricing. You will have to show your tour ticket to the Russian immigration officials and they will stamp your passport and let you in the country.

If you want to tour the city on your own, which is not recommended, you will need to get your own tourist visa. But your hardest obsticle is figuring out how to get to the port entrance which is about 2 miles from where the ships dock in the industrial port.

I heard on one of the podcasts that DISNEY rumor is...no one will be allowed off the boat in St. Petersburg unless they are on a Disney tour. Just a rumor thus far, but you might want to check this out.
