OH YES Paul has just called to say he's going to do the weekly grocery shopping on the way home tonight so I don't have to do that either on sunday :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: I can feel that saturday and sunday afternoon snooze just waiting for me this weekend :cool1: :cool1:

Good morning!

My you were certainly busy last night! Congrats on your pirate:

Our weekend plans are: DS is coming home from college to get his halloween costume for a big party next week (he is dressing up as Dr Horrible), I am going to a foreign exchange student halloween party Saturday night (bff is a whooha and I volunteer with the group also) and on Sunday there is a costume party and fundraiser for Dachshund Rescue. AND YES MY SWEET DARLIN BABY GIRL HAS A COSTUME:dogdance: I adopted a longhaired miniature chocolate dapple with blue eyes. She will be a witch- we shall see if she will walk with the costume on or just flip and lay on the floor.

DS is calling from Germany today so that will be fun.

What is everyone else doing?

Just thought I'd post of picture of Mike and his beautiful wife - Linda - as I said - they are FANTASTIC people - always with smiles on their faces - you'd wish them for your neighbor anytime!

I agree - even though I didn't get to know them as well as others. The few times I ran into them they were always laughing and smiling. It was great to see. As were Julie and her girls and Laura. I really enjoyed my time on the PC cruise and getting to meet so many people from the boards.

Julie - I just printed some photos of you and the girls during the meet and greet I held and one from one of the deck parties. They are going out in today's mail. Hope you enjoy them

Thanks in advance, Jo! I will let you know when I recieve them.

Izzy -- to answer a few questions, NC is North Carolina (a state!), and they will start a new thread for us when we exceed 250 pages. I don't think they limit how many threads we can get though . . .:thumbsup2

Not long at all . . . I really found it disconcerting on the EB PC thread when it would suddenly be locked and a new one started . . . if you were away from the board for a few days it was hard to get back in the swing of things. But I do understand why they did it -- loading these super long threads was slowing down the speed of posting on the Dis.

Do they give you any warning or does it just stop and then you have to hunting for the new thread ??

On our repo thread, we had a super organized "Fearless Leader" that had all of the first post information saved. It even had a link to all of the previous threads. When we'd get close to 250 pages, he start a new thread with the same first post, but ask that we not post in it until the current thread was locked. Then when the mods closed the thread, they put a link to the new thread in the last post. It never failed that I would put together a huge multi-quote and by the time I went to post my response, it would be locked. But other than that, it all worked pretty smoothly.

As you've seen it all done before and "Fearless Leader" seems an appropriate title.....are you volunteering to fill the role ???

I know its way to early but I have some DCL pricing on Pre & Post stay London Hotels!

Rennaissance Chancery Court $722 a night per room

Park Plaza Country Hall $900 a night per room

Also they are charging about $85 for transfer from the Hotel to the Ship!

What do you guys over the Pond Think?

Thats $500 to get my family from London to the Cruise in Dover seems high!:teacher:

If Mike is Fearless leader that means that you can either be Boris or Natasha, Ill be Squirel!:lmao: :rotfl: :dance3:

Since I have never been to any of the ports on this itinerary I have been looking over on cruise critic for information on each port. One post that I came across had some very good information and I wanted to post it here for all to see. This is from an American living in Copenhagen

If you are coming in the spring/summer - PLEASE and I mean PLEASE bring the most hard to get into purse that you can (must zip, go cross body, and have some type of carabiner clip running through the hole in your zipper to the shoulder strap so that the zipper can't be moved).

Men, put your wallets in your FRONT pockets or around your neck and under your shirt. NOT in your back pocket.

Pickpocketing is RAMPANT down by the pier, and literally (I am not kidding) bands of gypsies descend upon CPH in the summer to professionally pickpocket people.

If you come with travel smarts and a good healthy dose of "warning" regarding pickpockets - then you'll be JUST FINE.

The city itself is extremely safe and such a wonderful WONDERFUL place to visit.
