For the View, did you do regular tix or standby? I want to see that show really bad! I tape it everyday and Regis. I missed Ellen, today.

We do the regular requesting for tix thru the website. It's just about time that I put in another request since my request for tix for next week didn't come thru. We went twice when Rosie was there, the first time was when they were giving out the really nice laptop bags. We got really lucky one time, Elizabeth was off!!! Not an Elizabeth fan at all.

Too long of a trip to do standby tix in our opinion.
My cousin's SIL went one time and she said not everyone with tix got in and then she went again last spring and almost all standby's got in. Go figure...

Yes, and they charge if you are drinking in the Starbucks a little more than if you take it "to go." Apparently, it's some kind of tax if you "eat in."

Over there even McD's and BK used to do this. It wasn't that much a difference if I remember correctly.

I agree (first paragraph).........she interrupts too much and she tends to say not much (talk about fluff).......I love when Joy gets mad and says a lot of smart things........

I did go to the View in early October and I didn't get in. Apparently, usually you do get in but I think they only tape in the middle days of the week?

We've always had an extra ticket we turn back in. We make the ressie for 4 and only 3 of us go. We like to think we make 1 standby person happy.

We haven't gone when they've given away the really good stuff, like when Dr. Gadget is there. We did the Tickle Me Elmo TMX the day he was released, I ended up selling mine on ebay for around $100.00. Then there was one day we got a bag full of Clorox cleaning products, they were heavy to carry around the city and then when I had my Junior's cheesecake boxes it was even worse. We've all filled out the 1099 info form, but have never been given the 1099 since our gifts were less than $600.00.


Told you I was full of useless information.

Just got back from DD's volleyball game, in time to drop off my soldiers' packages and now off to walk the furr kids. I did manage to catch myself on TV. Twice nonetheless! I was bebopping along with the music. All staged too.

Out here they tape Mon-Thurs with Thursday being a double day. They usually come in around 10 am and if they are lucky Mon - Wed they leave around 6 pm. Thursdays is their late day.

Everything is staged but to let you all know, they take names and addresses down. Due to Ellen's popularity - they only allow one ticket per name and address per season. While there, there was one person in a party that got turned away due to it being their 2nd time. I guess she's superpopular. My SIL's friend went last May and she ended up getting a Wii and a Wiifit along with something else. SIL was mad because she still hasn't opened the Wii. She wants to buy it off. Imagine that!

Anyway, I guess I am done for season 6 and will have to wait until season 7 which runs from August - May. So no more TV appearances for me.... Hey! Dr. Phil tapes here and I know that my MIL has gone there at least 4 times in one season. I guess he's not as popular as Ellen.


BTW, the guy standing next to me was super tall and stuck out like a sore thumb. AND......did I mention that the camera adds on 20+ lbs? Told you Ellen was tiny - she looks wide but she really isn't. So I guess that means I'm not that wide and fat huh?

Mike, I hope you feel better soon. There sure seems to be a lot of the flu bug going around. I don't want it coming our way.

I have also thought about the variety of clothes we might need for this cruise so I sure am glad Izzie is going to take care of us! I think Garry is afraid I may have 50# of shoes for this upcoming trip!
